Hi: 4 650IIs, 4 Cruise LauncherIIs Med: ABII, Web, TPII, Heavy Cap Booster Low: LARII, MARII, 2 EXPII, 2 EANIIs, 1 BCU
An assortment of Light, Med and Heavy Drones. All tech 2 drones
I'm working for Minmatar Fleet. BS go down fast enough when they get into range of my 650s. Cruisers and frigs not so good.
Aside from using faction loot, any suggestions? |

I have, thanks for the suggestion. The results were hard judge but I am inclined to think that the theoretical better hits did not make up for the differnence on the lost damage dealing drone. |

Edited by: Octus on 21/04/2006 19:48:04 Edited by: Octus on 21/04/2006 19:47:33 Actually for the phoon I like to use 4 cruise launchers, 2 1400's, 1 heavy nos, 1 drone distance mod(this puts your drone effective range out to 60k)
By carrying 5 mediums and 5 larges you can use the medium drones to kill the frigs and cruisers that get close while nossing them to destroy their cap. Then after killing the close stuff you can recall and send heavies after the bigger ships to finish off the level.
This works well when tanking armor.

I would sap the Heavy cap booster for a painter (increase dmg of torps and also helps drones hitting small targets substantially) and replace your BCU with a cap relay.
With good skills this should get you close to being able to sustain the tank for a decent amount of time. Additionally, you won't have to carry around cap booster charges (cap charges are good for pvp but get to be a crutch for pve especially the longer lvl 4 missions--i always try for a sustainable recharge rate rather than using boosters.)
The painter would help on your cruise launcher dmg on crusiers and painted frigs go down fast--which is good when you have jammers on you.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I agree, lugging around cap booster charges is a pain. The Med. Rep I can already run indefinetly. However, to get a sustainable recharge rate to run the Large Rep (for more than a minute or two) it is going to take a lot more than adding a cap rely and/or cap recharger.

Assuming the problem is tracking... have you tried fitting two webbers, or a fleeting web??

I agree. I am going to swap the TP for another webber. I am also going to swap the cruise launchers for heavy launchers, to help my drones kill frigs and cruisers. I am also going to swap the 650s for 800s - less ammo, more DPS vs BSs, with the double web tracking shouldn't be problem hitting anything.
I'll let ya know how it goes.
Thanks for the help
