i would like to see the rorqual in belt but right know its a suizide button to aktivate the industriel core i would like to change that with a new ability
If the industriel core is on the rorqual has the ability to aktivate a Cloaking Module now i understand a normal cloak would be op my suggestion fo that are
Cloak needs 30 sek to aktivate dekloack if anything besides cans enters a range from about 20-25km The Rorqual can press and use the tractorbeam while in cloak
this allows neuts to sence the rorqual it needs a little brain but if a neut sees a can way of halfway to the rorqual he can see the direction he needs to fly and decloak the rorqual
for the mining pack they have to make a joice park it near so that cans are quick by the rorqual or sitting way off the belt and risking to give away the position

The only way to maybe get rorqual out into a belt would be to officially re-designate them as "Industrial Super Capital" ships and give them immunity to electronic warfare like Super Carriers and Titans have.
There is no reason for them to ever leave a POS shield while they can boost from off-grid though. Fleet Bookmarks New Gravimetric Sites Med Clones 2.0 |

with my changes the rorqual would have the ability to stay relative safe if the pilot isnt a mindless idot and can be used to haul and mine and press in belt as intendet from ccp
and ccp statet that the mining boost would be moved to grid only after the rebalance |

We could try something new: Rorqual Force Field but with a tweak! An active Modul that require astroids from the Belt, while consuming these Stones GRIDWIDE no one can enter or leave(debatable) this Force Field, if the Belt runs dry the Force Field disapear.
Its crazy i know but atleat its a funny idea! |

The problem isn't deploying a rorqual in your safe, deep blue, nullsec space. The problem is doing it on a regular basis, because predictable makes you easy to attack.
The adage don't fly what you can't afford to lose applies here. I'd say that you should have a contingency plan ready for when, not if, you get dropped. If I had to siege a rorqual on a regular basis I would overtank it, make sure a cyno was fitted, and have batphones ready. Things are only impossible until they are not. |

even in deep blue space is deploying a rorqual like a suizide wish in the systems i lived so far neuts are comming on daily basis and i lived deep in the north as well in the south and even in drone space i agree there are areas that are safe but dont reflect the status of some areas to the 0.0 space as whole
even ccp can see that and did the only right joice leave the mining bonus untouched untill the rorqual and orca are rebalanced the risk is way to hight |

Thats right but i didnt see why the Rorqual shouldnt be able to carry more Combat Ships where miners could switch into, to defend themself.
Its also kinda interessting that highsec miners should bring simply help but the Rorqual in Nullsec should be 100% safe... |

first the rorqual can only carry mining ships second while its true that miner could reship and defend the rorqual
most off the miners i know arent pvp guys dont assume that every ship or profesion must fight miners cant realy defend themself most of the time they avoid fights thats the main strategie even reflectet in mining ships they should be protectet but pvp guys dont do that most of the time
so my joice was a approach that would not eliminate the risk but would give a relative safe enviroment where the risk is at a level where i would use a rorqual in Belt
and i live in 0.0 without pvp by offering my industriel know how
and Highsec miners a orca isnt easy to kill until Concord arrives and even a orca in empire could be 100% safe in a pos forcefielf |

ok for a Allianze mining op that could be a solution but on corp level i dont think so i doubt that any pvp orientet player would risk a cap for a rorqual |

Dont get me wrong, i fully respect you guys, and while i know that cynos are nullminers best friend, we should ask ourself.
Why do we try to rebalance everything instead of support our members? |

Rorqual will never be fixed, it was broken when it was put in game and it will remain that way and here is why.
1. Not enough people fly it so CCP don't even know how stupidly bad this ship is. 2. CCP have neglected the mining side of industry completely in the last few years. I make more minerals running anomalies in a paladin than my maxed out hulk can, aswell as 75 mill an hour in bounites and chances for escalations and faction drops. |

I believe its also a time problem*, look if you run a mining Ops it usualy takes ages to get some notable amount, during this time an average Guard will die on boredom.
It could be a possibility to decrease this time so Guards are not tied all night long.
I cant provide numbers but speeding up mining can be a solution* too.
*Not that its an actual Problem we suffer |

what i meant whas even if mining would be speedet up the prices would change and miners would need the same amount or more for the same amount of isk mining isnt like anos incursions etc the income is sole dictatet from the market |

Look, i do know what you mean in the first Place, but let us be honest the real Problem is the overall mindset, most just looking for trouble or their own Wallet, no one would help a mining ops simply because they are not worth it.
And even they would people are not willing to sit their and wait.
Try rebalance that... |

Bossting in a rorqual is done at a POS and is the most boring thing you can do in EVE. The Bonuses on the ship are ********, the ship will never see a belt. You get as much minerals from ratting as mining aswell as bounties, faction loot and chances of ecalation.
Ship has been broken for so long it will never get fixed. |
