War begins with a whimper, not a bang
By Jinn Meii Radio Free Curse
DORIL ū With the turn of the official eve clock to 1901, the much anticipated war between the Curse Coalition and the Mercenary Coalition opened ū not with a bang, but with a whimper. Many believed that once the war began, the MC would fly through the Doril gates like locusts in the plagues of Egypt. But as the official start came and went, only a single Celestis circled the gate to Sendaya to mark any type of hostilities. Attempts to interview this lone pilot went unanswered. A check of the surrounding areas also produced no visible sign of the MC. In Sendaya only a few ships were observed and none carried the MC flag.

It's a turn of phrase.... well at least in luminaire it is, but I have no idea what the origin is. Anyway I'm pretty sure he was talking about 'a lot'.

For those of you who remember your history and actually went to collage; Egypt was from Ancient Earth. They were a society who dwelt on rivers and worshipped cats. It is rumored they angered some powerful faction and caused their lands to be consumed by assorted plagues, including clouds of locust.

How does one go to 'collage'? Is there an Amarrian device that now enables one to journey into a parallel dimension surrounded by GalNet clippings and snippets from the latest EON?

Doril was empty of anything worthy of targetting.
CVA was at war with our client as well and posed a more immediate threat.
Try flying around Torrinos if you want to find some CC pilots to interview... -

Quote: Why is it that all reporters on Galnet seem to have no journalism skills, writing ability, or credibility?
If someone were interested in taking up the daunting task of being a reporter how would you suggest someone build up credibility? It would seem to me that one builds credibility by reporting accurately. Now it seems that Ms. Meii has the basic facts of that particular situation correct, itĘs just her gross bias and opinions that cause issue.
I disagree with Ms. Meii's bias on the principle that I believe the news should be a clear and concise representation of the facts and not of ones own opinions. I believe reporters should report the facts and let the readers make their own decision on who is or is not evil based on the facts alone.

I have no idea what this guy is talking about. I'm not aware of any "Earth" system. If there is one, it's not in the Eve cluster where God created the Amarr. And, therefore, it cannot possibly exist.
Someone please silence this heretic.

What you speak of has more to do with mythology than history; although, like most mythology it likely has some roots in forgotten history. After all, the possibility of this "Egypt" may explain where the cats came from in the first place, as all data I've seen suggests - despite their adaptability - they are not truly native to any known planet in this galaxy.

You are all so wrong...'Egypt' is clearly a corruption of the system EG-1PT, and the plagues referred to regarding this system is the ISS presence in said system.
