Last I played was 2011. Much has changed and evolved since then. I'm not used to seeing DUST players in local, for example. I'm not irritated by it, I think it's cool. Just took me by surprise. Where did Corp Hangars go? I started my own Corp so my daughter would have a family friendly place to play and chill out, she's 10. I figured I'd put pre fit ships in there so she'd have them if she got blowed up. (I am actually excited to play Eve with her, she's a very smart kid and should grasp this game just fine, although placing us in FW right off might not have been the right choice LOL).
Anyhow, CLEARLY I've much to read on the advances of the game since 2011, but holy crap! Leave the game a little while and BAM! Everything's SO much different in many ways. Like I said, not good, not bad, just a little different.

EVE evolved. It was once just a monkey. NOW, it's a full-grown gorilla. We're hanging on till it becomes homo habilis at which point we may reassess and take-up Tic Tac Toe once again.

Northern Coalition collapsed? Oops LOL. I HAVE noticed another large Alliance has sprung up, Brothers of Tangra. I'm guessing this is the new Goon Counterbalance.
I've a 6 year old son that wants to play too, but he's just gonna be my copilot. Way too young for me to trust with my computer LOL.

Step 1) Research what has changed since you left and how it will affect your gameplay. Identify potential issues and find solutions. This can be accomplished via Google search, forum search or forum look.
Step 2) Resub account.
No clue why people insist on doing this backwards.
Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

Glad to see the new younger generations of gamers getting in on the action. That would be awesome to see her first killmail... going to be completely epic! I would definitely screenshot it and frame it and/or record her fights with fraps or something like it. Go lil' capsuleer go! |

LOL Not resubing, lost ALL info on old characters. I started a new character, so starting from scratch. No problem, it'll be fun, and a chance to keep a toon clean of BS skills not related to my career path.
