ok i admit, i am new at this 0.0 mining thing. because so, i have a few questions on how others do it.
i'm mining Arkonor and the other high end ores, which yeilds me massive quantities of zyde/mega but not much of anything else. in the past week i made about 250k units of zyde and 250k units of mega. if i continue like this, and put my minerals on the market, ill quickly end up flooding the market and either selling for dirt cheap, or having billions on the market that wont sell quick enough.
suggestions?
yes i know this is an alt character

Bring your minerals to the hubs. Sell. Roll in isk. Buy expensive toys.
The market will deal with whatever you do to it, and will ALWAYS want more zydrine and megacyte. More more more. Especially zydrine, which is burned four times faster than megacyte and is harder to melt out of loot... ----------------------------------
Industrialist. I build it. You buy it. You break it and buy another one. Market domination through ingue ferrogue. (I did this and could have stopped it.) |

Never worry about the prices on the market.
If you don't need the money, you don't need to sell it.
Personally I always have a stockpile of items/ships that I sell/buy only when I am low/high on cash _____________________________

Edited by: Nice Trader on 22/04/2006 14:55:22 I think the OP has a point. The average daily volume of zyd-trades in Jita is is something like 7 or 8 bil, for megacyte its like 3 to 4 bils. This is patheticly low, i could trade this volumes out of my personal wallet if there would be a point.
IMO eve needs multi-regional markets in empire.

With the price on highend as it is atm you don't need to worry about lowering the price.. The last few week it's just been going up and up.
And there's plenty of people who needs large amount, so mine all you want and get rich.

A lot of the high-volume repeat transactions (ie, capital ship & large-scale battleship builders who use hundreds of thousands of both minerals per week) are done through escrow rather than the market once relationships are established, to save on broker fees and taxes since they're significant enough to be worth the trouble of using escrow once you're trading a couple billion isk with the same person every week.

And this is why im so glad they are rebuilding escrow/contract to close the loophole that causes market traders to pay/skill train/loose time for other training/ while some 1 day old neblet can move billions without ever being accountable to the taxman/broker...

Please evemail me.
My shipyards consume copious quantities of each. I can arrange pickup at the edge of Empire to save you the time to haul your minerals to the hub systems.
