I noticed there is no mention at all of the multitude of combat problems.
Is it 'forbidden' to ask those questions or are the people who join these chats simply not pvp oriented? (it could explain why those problems never get solved)

heheh, that was my question, thanks Ez.
Oh, the reason the PvP questions weren't asked was because they ran out of time, expect them in the next chat.
Why do I know this? Because I will pod Ez if he doesn't ask em :) ----------- "Remember people: Omber is the biggest evil ever created, DO NOT let it get to you!" Waagaa Ktlehr, BDCI

Agreed. I see a lot of people complaining about stuff not being fixed, but they have to realise that this forum is not the right place for bug reports. We might have seen mention of such issues here over and over again, but the devs/programmers do *not* have the time to read even a handful of posts.
I'd rather they didn't waste any time in this flamepit at all, they have more important things to do.
So: If there is a problem you are experiencing, file a bug report. No matter of posting on here will get it bought to anyones attention any quicker.
Whereas if you file a decent bug report, it will be noted, and pushed up to where the people who need to see it, will see it.
makes sense, really. .

As for the combat questions, if I was able to ask one more question it would have been about the lag and CTD's that many people are experiencing. I've also save myslef some money for a clone now, thanks to Chise not podding me, all I got to do now is get the money together for a new ship.....
The only thing I found stange about the csm last night was tomb's response about the skill attributes, I'll consider it for future skills, I'd rather they put that on the current skills as well, if it gets added....

Errr thought the latest effort from most of those taking part was a very poor and made the log practically unreadable.
Recommendations: Vegeta - given the boot for not bothering to turn up on time.
EVE I - right idea with getting questions but also the boot for using the CSM as an advertising channel.
Torin - a big boot for trying to stage a one man take over and hog the whole proceedings. Did you ever read the other CSM logs?
Roulette - sensible chap, sensible questions that most people I think would be interested in.
Civ Deity - start was promising but went off the rails at the end wanting CCP to code stuff in game which they could so easily do them selves with an in game web site, sorry but also the boot.
EzTarget - interesting questions
Darksheer - the boot, doesn't realise what the dev chat is about.
Jash Illian - hanging in there... making a simple question difficult
Greyhound - nice question.. only 1, never mind with luck Torin will have been booted out allowing people a chance to question more.
Quietas - did you ask anything? You would have got the boot for been a waste of space if you didn't seem like a decent chap.
Gold Star to TomB with having to put up with some ******.
Gold Star to Pann for having the foresight to get out before the rambling started.

By all means, send me better ones. Though I'll warn you as I'm not overly concerned about when we'll get Miner II blueprints to play with when the basic foundations like corp income, security ratings, PvP mechanics, blueprint distribution and such are still f00ked from beta.
I have a gun on my ship capable of firing 70km+ that's a liability in PvP because the mechanics of warping drop my ship 20km inside its optimal range.
I'm surprised more CEOs haven't committed suicide yet over trying to keep the corp's books straight when all purchases and sales have to funnel through someone's personal wallet.
And I don't want to play Disneyland Meets Afghanistan because the f00ked security system has created a line between total safety and total obliteration so thin Saran Wrap is jealous.
I figure we've got maybe a couple days before the prices on Large and Xlrg Shield boosters start tanking because that's how long it'll take people to research them to ME 5 and start undercutting each other into stupidity as nobody has ever shown any inkling of a plan on how the next level of blueprints will be distributed to avoid the "CCP is TTI's Beyotch" and the "Techell is Raping the XXX Market" while maintaining a fair chance for many to get them without oversaturating the market.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann

Daernik, Everyone has opportunity to volunteer for the CSM logs. Only 5 people volunteered last time before Pann sent the call out a second time. You should volunteer yourself so you can discuss your questions instead of hiding behind your forum critiques.

Hmm, do you not admit that you went ott with the questions - am normally tucked up in bed at the time you do the CSM so have to rely on people to represent the general player base... and not get carried away.
Thought there was a waiting list to get on the CSM?

To those of you whining and moaning about the questions - get off your behind and stop complaining after the fact. All my questions come from posts on www.eve-i.com, there is a sticky in the general forum there where you can post your question.
NONE of the questions I asked were my own - ALL that I asked was submitted there and EVERYONE is welcome to go to the poll and vote for their favourite questions.
@ Daernik? Advertising? Where am I advertising our site? I do not need to advertise it - hell - we do not even charge membership, have u noticed ANY banners or advertisements on our site btw? Dancer funds it out of his own back pocket. If you say I am advertising by the name I use - well Lotta was invited to the CSM to represent EVE I, just as there is a rep from a fansite present with every other session. If you refer to the link to our site in the forum here - do you want the log or don't you? that is where you can find it.
At those complaining that it was not run as a dev chat - it is NOT a dev chat, it is a meeting. Dev chats are questions flung and devs in a moderated channel and millions of people wait for there question to be flung and answered. This is a place for discussion (at least that is what I believe) and we can air our views, comments and suggestions in a controlled manner.

Everybody had their chance on the EVE-I site to submit a question, and then get the questions voted in on the polls. So if you don't like what was asked, maybe you should take some time out of your forum trolling and participate a bit.

I'm not entirely sure I'd volunteer in any case - but where was the call? I'd be interested in reading it and I can't remember ever having seen one.

I volunteered but I think Jash probably took my place first, as our corps are fairly similar. Probably for the best, I think he's a little better with the Engrish language.

I don't consider this a whine, but this was the first DEV Chat I found unpalatable to read in many many ways.
A few disapointing answers on TOP of a sloppy show...
Though a few good answers crept in there, it was nothing like the older logs...
I mean if they are going to completely remove NPC pirates from gates, then shouldn't NPC pirates in belts be toned down a lot too save for those with hideouts?
I mean how the hell do NPC pirates get around to having hundreds of ships in a system in the first place? Now they won't be around gates at all, not even as blockade runners or something like that? Immersion my foot...
I'm down with the idea that empire space should be SAFER than 0.0, and high sec being just about foolproof in terms of safety, but that makes Sec rating just a kind of round about CON system...
The worst thing was is thats pretty much exactly what TomB or whoever said it is supposed to be like.
THAT REALLY rubbed me the wrong way.
Next thing you know the gates leading to systems will have a picture and total skill point reccomendation that pops up whenever you get close enough:
System Liparer: Sec status .4, reccomended ship: Level 3 or higher frigate, or level 1 cruiser or higher, with 600K skill points minimum.
Anyway, I got a question for the Devs, it's also a suggestion...
Will they ever get rid of the silly Threat level on the show unfo on a NPC pirate? I like a little surpriuse now and then. also Will CCP every vary the loadout and challenge of the NPC's within the same name group?
Like one Blood collector being outfitted one way and be moderate another being outfitted another way and be low threat, and still another outfitted for real killing and be the next step above moderate?
so far as I see it, doing otherwise kinda kills imersion for me, and just make everything that much more predictable, and makes the level treadmill that isn't supposed to exist more blatant.
Anyway overal I give this last dev chat a 5 out of a possible ten... An all time low score since I began reading the things not too long ago.

Some of the questions were fine. Its the general lack of answers and constant chit-chat thats annoying. Totally unproductive, and makes for frustrating reading.

Rise your right they didn't amount to much, but still... If they had been improved somehow, there might be some work for escorts to low sec... But I guess it's ok that indy traders in Empire space only need fear enemies of thier corp now...
Then again, there wasn't much business for the average combat pilot looking to do escort anyway, unless it's on thier own corporations behalf.
I dunno, I kinda liked em personaly also. I mean if CCP is going to FORCE us to stop at each gate and wait to get closer, but give us nothing at ALL to do, even kill wimpy NPC pirates, whats the point?
At this point, Just give my a starmap, and some spiffy looking wormhole thingy, and a tetris game to play while I wait... then I won't care if thier are pirates at gates...
Know what I mean?

Eve I - I had no complaint with your questions, but I found trying to read the chat log very difficult. Had to do it in stages and it wasn't an "easy read" like the other CSM chat. There was too much idle interruptions imo. I apologise for using "advertising" when I was refering to this:
EVE I > Just for the record - I post a request every Tuesday for CSM questions, then when downtime starts on Wednesday compile it into a poll in our forums - we have had 150 votes on questions so far: http://www.eve-i.de/ubbthreads/viewpoll.php?Cat=&Board=eve1&Number=35404&what=showflat&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1&poll=1063799023Lotta EVE I > rest can be viewed at http://www.eve-i.de/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=eve1&Number=35404&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1
Just my opinion, but to be presented by this in the middle of CSM chat annoyed me especially having giving up trying play eve, and just given up trying to read:
Torin > 1) Selling items through the corp so the money goes to corp wallet. 2) Allowing and setting commission settings for traders.(e.g. A trader sells an item on the market for the corp., money goes to corp. but the seller gets a commission of 5%.) 3) Implement office managers. An office manager would have corp control over just the office they are assigned to. This would allow further opportunities for intercorp promotions and internal corp competition. 4) Multi corp membership type: A type of membership whereby a player can be in one corp and still be on the "Board of Advisors" in another corp. This could allow in game organization of such things as alliances, mega-corp management over smaller subsidiary corps. (e.g. an alliance would form a new corp. called Region Alliance, invite memberships in all the CEO's and directors from other corps that want to take part in the alliance, and use Region Alliance to A) Stay in private contact with all the members b) Send out evemails to all the alliance members c) Have an alliance bank account D) Store alliance specific goods in an alliance office hangar E) Use the voting system to vote on alliance specific matters with F) Use the stocks as a measure of return investment to all alliance members, etc. Imagine it being a corp. of corps. instead of a corp. of members. 5) Setting slaves free, perhaps using the agent system to get an agent that allows the freedom of slaves in exchange for either money (less than the sale price of slaves of course) or an increase in faction standings with certain empires (and decrease with other empire factions).
Keep it simple..

Here's an idea:
Why not make the CSM a Q&A list that the devs can fill in during the week. The delegates could meet on wedensday and decide on 20-30 burning questions to submit to the devs, and these will be answered offline (with plenty of time to eleborate on the answers and think about them).
I've liked the CSMs so far, but I don't think they're as productive as can be. ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

Daernik - I also found that lot of questions very hard to read - it was pasted just like that, I just used a search replace to take the timestamp out of the log...
That link is long - but it is where you get a chance to get your question into my queue... if it is good - it will be voted for and thus asked.
I try to send the questions off to CCP beforehand, on Wed afternoon I actually found Pann in IRC and she nullified two of our questions there and then.
The next question poll will go live Monday during downtime, so get your questions up there ASAP.
