I have had it with Kiting frigates.
6 days of March have passed and i have had 13 encounters with kiting frigates.
I have tryed EVERYTHING! and there is just no way to counter them if they are being boosted.
1. They outrun Warriors 2
2. The outrun Light Missiles
3. Gun wont track even with tracking computer and tracking enhancers fitted.
I mean Really WTF!
The only thing that can save you from one of those things is a Warp Core Stabilizer!
TAKE OFF GRID BOOSTING OUT! people exploit it way too much... |

It's harder than it seems. CCP wants to kill OGB but they've run into problems trying to code it. For now it's just programming limitations thats holding it back. |

Well in the mean time why not make a way to counter them:
Web drones for example:
Warrior SW-300 base speed is a JOKE! 2,400 m/Sec (Start by Triple that speed)
JUST an idea... Maybe someone will start using them for a change... |

I would say maybe the boosts that reduce repper/booster cap use. But if not hitting them not an issue.
rest of this...this is what kiting frigates do. For many this is their "tank". I know I have a kiting arty wolf that its in my best interests to keep well out of web/scram range. If scrammed or webbed, its dying fast. It looks at wet paper bags with envy in regards to tank.

A good way to counter all the kiting stuff is:
#1 Carry a Mobile Depot #2 Fit Sensor Damps when needed, disrupt their locking range #3 If that doesn't work, screw #2 and fit warpcorestabs, scoop depot and **** off.
Pro Plays: Before dropping a Mobile Depot in combat, be prepared: Reinforce it yourself in some safe location, scoop it then. This way it will not trigger the reinforce. You want to do this because the damage needed to blast through for it to enter RF is way less than the damage needed for killing it off. That means: If they decide to shoot it, they have to go through... idk, what's it? 17.5k EHP? To deny you the refitting rather than 4.75k or so. Cause if they reinforce it, you can't refit, have to scoop it and drop it again, which will cost you time, which might cost you the ship.
Also: Set them to red, so you know who of them is boosted and who isn't. Maybe try figuring out who is their booster alt, and set those to bad, so you can distinguish them. |

really? Have you tried teaming up with your own team of frigates? Have you tried running your own boosts? Something tells me that even should the gods of known space grant your dearest dream and remove boosting all together you would still be having trouble. -á-á- remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not-á "afk" cloaking-á-

Well, first off, this IS technically a 2v1 scenario, so you should be at a disadvantage anyway.
Second, a kiting frigate is going to have some abysmally low dps. It shouldn't be terribly hard to tank one unless you're in a glass cannon frigate yourself. thhief ghabmoef |

The issue is not about tanking them! The problem here is that everyone thinks clicking Orbit at 20Km is a WIN BUTTON. And it basically is because there is no way to counter IT. So it is overpowered ****, and it really needs fixing. |

OGB enables fights that wouldn't happen otherwise and that's one of the only thing that keeps "solo" (on field at least) pvp from happening.
Lets face it, OGB works because you don't know your target has it. Otherwise you wouldn't engage it because your win rate would move form 99 to 90% and thats still too low for the average pvper :D Signature Tanking - Best Tanking.
Proposed change for ECM - Not chance based - not max target reduction based |
