I've been having issues with my system completely hardlocking only when I play Eve. Here are my computer specs:
AMD64 3200+ processor running on an nForce4 motherboard chipset
2gb of PC3200 Ram and a GeForce 7800GT 256meg pci-express version.
I'm running Windows XP Pro. I've tried disabling sound, deleting the cache files, reinstalling Eve and just finished reinstalling Windows. I have the latest Directx 9.0C build. My chipset drivers have been updated to 6.70 and my Graphics card drivers are the latest build at 8.4.2.1 ForceWare. I enabled
the blue screen so I could write down the error and get this when it blue screen:

Which points the finger at DirectX but DirectX has been reinstalled multiple times now from the Microsoft website. Seems that theres something Eve doesn't like when running on select nVidia systems and has a DirectX call that doesn't go right and hoses systems. I've checked the event logger for Windows, nothing. Tried the logserver and because the entire system is hardlocked and I have to force a reboot, it doesn't find anything either. Any ideas? I feel as though I've exhausted my resources and I've petitioned in game 3 days ago and still haven't heard a response. When I petition now it says I havent petitioned before and when I create an account...I get an Error 500 URL Error. Good game Eve.

Go see my post and see if there is any similarity, I solved it by relocating the memory cardss to different slots.

my computer's chipset locks when I am fighting and now i can't lauch EVE it keeps locking comp. I don't know what to do...I have a Intel(r)Pentium(r)4 CPU 3.00 GHZ, DirectX 9.0 and Nvidia GeForce FX 5950 ULTRA. all drives updated. please let me know what should I do otherwise i will have to cancel game. I like so much i don't wanna do that until i know it can't be repair

Hi all - there's been plenty of posts about this lately. I've just posted a message on the other topic. I also have a P4 with Nvidia, I also get the lockups and occasional blue screen. As of yet there seems to be no fix for this. It seems a lot of people are starting to give up and cancel their subs.
