Well a bump and a note.
These ships are being sold as low as 125mil.
10 would be 1.26 bil. 100 around 12.5 bil and around 150 ships for 18 or so bil.
Would it be profitable at all to even buy a BPO as over priced as this? most BPO's should pay themselves off at at least their 12th ship. t2 and such BPOs I could understand a little higher even as high as 24 ships. but 150?

You dont know what your talking about now wimbishi. A Sleipnir bpo that pays off in a month? Most tech II bpo¦s pay off during a year or so depending how the market behaves. __________________________________________________ |

How many times are we going to hear that tired old 'pay itself off' crap.
Buy a Vulture BPO for 20bil. Sell 20 ships. Say 75mil profit each, that's 1.5 billion profit.
Now, you have a vulture bpo worth 20 bil, and also 1.5 billion profit. -------------------------------------------- "A plan is just a list of things that don't happen." -- Parker, _The Way of the Gun_

Wow, that's... interesting... logic.
The 'pay itself off thing' is good economics. The value of your bpo may change.

Um, it was pretty standard business practices.
You purchase the BPO, which is a capital investment. The only cost to you are the depreciation of the capital as well as the opportunity cost of tying up your capital.
The same works in the business world. You purchase a car factory for hundreds of millions of dollars and proceed to make cars with a few thousand dollars in profit. Your net assets will include the factory minus depreciation of the factory plus, if you want, the opportunity cost involved had you invested that money in something other then a factory. So you can still make a handsome profit even if in the end you never sell a enough cars to pay for the cost of the factory itself.

friendly bump.
Well a note, 80% of the cars rolling off the line don't get blown up in the first few weeks of their existance either like these ships would.
It isn't a rant just curious viewpoint seeing how the market is now days.
It all just depends on the buyer and consumer. A factory would pay off over 10-20 years. You can also improve and expand the factory too.
A BPO can somewhat do this with ME and PE increases but something like this BP wouldn't effect that much since there isn't a real NPC market value on it since it isn't sold. Zarks I know you can remember when most teir one battleships costed 120mil. and tier2s was close to 200mil in the very beginning.
Anyone remember with the 1st miner 2's came out? people was charging 5mil per lazor and I ain't mistaken the BPO was worth close to a bil when the GM's handed out the BPO. When it finally hit the market the price crashed and ruined quite a few people because they was being so greedy with that monopoly.
Anyways excuse the disruption.

Find a t2 ship bpo that I can buy that pays itself off after 24 ships. It ain't gonna friggin happen. 150 for something that takes roughly a day to build is reasonable as its around 6months to pay for itself.

Very nice BPO, if I had the isk I'd absolutely get this one. Awsome ship! Too bad you ain't producing the ships ;)
Anyway: If the one that gets this is interesting in trading two or three vultures for two or three nighthawks, let me know.
And a friendly bump for this just too wicked BPO.
