For guns, there're one implant per size of a gun. For missiles, each type has an implant, making it less than optimal to swittch between HAM/heavies or cruise/torps.
I'd suggest an overhaul, where missile implants more closely follow gun implants:
SM-60x for small missiles, lights and rockets MM-80x for medium missiles, HAM and heavies LM-100x for large missiles, cruise/torps
GP-70x for guided missile precision MB-70x for missile bombardment TN-70x for target navigation prediction RL-90x for rapid launch MP-90x for missile projection
The x above of course stands for the percentage, same percentages available as today. The various sizes would include support for that size's FoF missiles, if available.
In my opinion this would make the system a bit more manageable. |

I'd support it under a few guidelines.
1. That missile implants give the same % boost as gun implants. I assume this is true, but I don't fly any missile ships. 2. That the missile implants occupy similar slots/stats as gun implants so that you cannot plug in a better spread of missile implants than gun ones.
If we are going to try and standardize missile implants with regards to size like gun implants, we really should make sure they are standardized to slots/%'s as well. |

+1 for overhauling missile implants.
Currently, the warp speed implant and cruise/torpedo damage implants share the same slot, whereas there is no overlap with large guns and the warp speed implant. Given how slowly battleships warp post Rubicon 1.1, it's a bit of a big deal for PvE.

GÇó Moving small missiles to slot #6 conflicts with CPU, capacitor and speed GÇó Moving medium missiles to slot #8 conflicts with capacitor and speed (Zor) GÇó Since missiles benefit from both guided missile precision and target navigation, placing both in slot #7 eliminates the possibility of being able to use both
Just based on the last point I'd have to nix this suggestion. I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |

Here is an alternate suggestion:
GÇó Move light missiles and cruise missiles with heavy missiles in slot #7 GÇó Move rockets and heavy assault missiles with torpedoes in slot #6 GÇó Leave everything else as is
Now one can utilize warp speed, CPU or Omega implants with cruise missiles, and light missiles can now benefit from guided navigation prediction. I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |

Slot layouts weren't meant to be set in stone, so yes, that'd be one solution. |

Not sure moving all the damage imp's to slot six is a good idea, given slot 6 is the Omega and fitting implant slot. At present only the small turrets damage implants are in Slot 6 for gunnery implants. Granted, I try to avoid using missiles whenever possible lol. All I know is my alt's mission-Gu would be sad, losing either his HAM damage imp or Crystal Omega. The Law is a point of View |

can't comment on slot locations but more generics would be nice to have like for turrets. It is a nice feature on my say projectile clone I don't have to pick arty over ac for a sized gun. Its pick 1 size and run with it. Missiles however on the missile clone....its one or the other for just the one class. |

Yes, there are a few more generics with turrets - but if you look at the missile-based hull bonuses that shouldn't really come as a surprise. We don't get a "large missile" bonus - it's always broken out into cruise, torpedo and now rapid heavy. I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |
