Im looking for a BS to hunt npc's, shoud i go with a sniper or a pointblank tank?

Lets put it this way. Do you WANT to travel the 30km to pick up the containers?
I just say get a raven with torps and cruise. They're I Win buttons already. Who cares about range when you have autohit weapons...

To pick up cans with a sniper i can just warp out then back in at 15k them use a tractor beam, so i dont care about the cans, but would a point blank tank take them out faster? i know it would be a lot more fun.

seriously. assuming that both are capable of doing the task at hand, why would you chose one that wasn't as fun?

Im looking at this as an investment, so i want a set up to take down npc bs's as fast i can.

way I figure it if your having fun, then you won't notice the time passing and it'll seem to go faster.
but mechanically I'd bet close range in general would be faster ANYWAY. just riskier.

Autocannon tempest with an armor tank down low
Blaster megathron, with same tank
stuff like that :)
