TLDR: Let us search for market groups within the Browse tab, and/or simplify the Groups tab into something that's easier to navigate and work with in relation to market details and other related tabs.
Problem A:
In the market tab, you can select a subtab called "Groups" which will show all variations of that item. The UI in this section needs an overhaul quite badly.
- The first problem is that each item is alloted a section that is far, far too large. In groups with 12+ items, it becomes quite difficult to locate items like this. Only a handful - if even - items show up at any one time. Enabing Show Info for multiple items or using the Compare Items feature is far more tedious as a result as well.
- The second problem is that each time you check the market details for an item, it must switch tabs and upon returning to the market tab you will find it has scrolled back to the top. As a result checking the market for a handful of items means switching back and forth between tabs for each item and finding/scrolling back to the position where you left off each and every time.
Let's compare all of this to simply finding the group in the Browse section of the market tab. Once you find the group, you expand it and all the items are displayed in a list on a grid, stacked orderly with size 12 font. You can right click and show info for all the various items easily one-by-one, 25+ in a row if you like, without ever having to touch a scroll wheel. Compare that to the Groups tab, where using the scroll wheel is necessary each 4-5 items. You can quickly and easily view the market details of every one of those items, 1 by 1, with only a single click needed for each change. Compare that to the Groups tab, where 2 clicks and a scroll are needed for each change.
So if the Browse tab is so much better, why not just that, right? This leads us to...
Problem B:
You cannot search for a market group within the Browse tab. For instance, search "smartbomb". Notice how some are missing? This is because not all smartbombs have that word in the name. Without something common between all module names in a group - a scenario which happens quite often - there is effectively no way to search for a market group without searching for a single item in that group, and using the obnoxious Groups tab instead.
Please fix this by either allowing us to search for market groups within the Browse, or by adjusting the Groups tab so it's easier to navigate and does not interfere with the viewing of the actual market details. |
