Well in the beginning I took every kind of mission with every kinda agent in various regions, really spread myself thin. Now I'm trying to focus on the kinda agent missions Im good at (or rather the ones I like) and build up my standing and do higher lvl missions + recieve better tributes. I've done a lot of security work but the only lvl 2 agents i can access right now are Admin. Also i really got to travel out far to get to these lvl 2 agents. I work primarily with Minmatar agents, the best I've been offered is a Slasher from an R&D agent I didn't even know I had access to.
Anyhow, any suggestions on how to get myself focused and on the right track?
Thanks

Have you trained the Connections skill? If not, do so: that will get you in with all of the level 2 agents, and probably some level 3 agents as well.
Other than that, you're on the right lines: pick one particular corp, find the best agent they offer of the type you like to run missions for, and stick with him/her. Better still, is if you can find two or more of the same agent type working from the same station, and work for all of them. ________________________________________________

connection skill is good advice. I would look to find a lvl 3 agent that shares a station with a decent lvl 4 agent. That way when you gain access to the lvl 4 you are already there. The downside is this ideal location is probably gonna be in HAGEKEN! And Everyone else will have had the same idea... you will end up losing so many ships to lag that you will log off and play Oblivion.
I have seen the Arctic Circle... And it is round. |

If you are in Minmater space rock on over to Gelfiven/Gulfonodi/Hrokkur/Hrober in Molden Heath and do Republic Fleet agents. There are a good mix of Level 1 through to Level 4 all within 5 jumps of each other. Also, with it being 0.6 down to 0.3 the rewards are quite good. just make a few insta bookmarks in a fast frigate first for the lowsec systems (or invest in a set off escrow) as some of them are often actively pirated (Bosena, Oddelulf, Atlar being particularly at risk).
Only pita thing is getting to/from Rens for storylines and/or buying high tech gear.

Thanks for the tips. I discovered I got a number of lvl 2 agents but they are in like .2 space . I wanna stay outta courier missions as I don't always have the cargo space. Really I just want a Firetail BPO.

I was the same way when I started...
Here is what you need to do...
Get a notebook and then sit down and open up your faction empire standing...
Then start clicking on EACH corp for the empire you are working for. Take time to scroll down for all their agents.
Then you need to make a decision...
Are you going for kill missions, courier missions, or a mix of both?
When you decide that, then you can plot out which level 4 agents you want.
For an empire hugger, the right L4 agent in a .5 system with max skills will give you 8000-9000LP a mission... That is what you want...
BUT
There is MORE. Now you want to list all the agents in columns by sec status and name of the star. Why not find 5-6 agents all within one jump of each other that EACH will give you 9000LP a mission?
and there is MORE...
Once you start to triangulate the agents, why not find 5-6 agents that give you 9000LP a mission in the SAME system or even in the same planet...
OK, it's a lot of work but the end game is billions of isk with few few jumps. Once you identify all the corps you want, then do this.
Find a system or planet with 3 level 2 or level three agents for that corp. You will settle into that planet, take 3 missions at a time, do three at a time, and complete 3 at a time. Rewards are irrelevent, standings are irrelevent, your goal is to get as many faction missions for that corp as you can. That will get you up to those awesome L4 agents you have identified.
Anyway GL!

OK, it's a lot of work...
The work's already been done. You just go to eve.grismar.netthis site and do a search for agents with the specs you desire. ________________________________________________
