The flag moved because of basic physics. A flag coiled up in a box has a considerable amount of potential energy. When that flag is released, the energy is released, and the flag will oscillate. In addition, gravity still applies on the moon, and will pull down the flag. The reason the flag didn't fall down is because they used a rod to prop it up, because otherwise it wouldn't have been straight due to the lack of air. If you doubt there were men on the moon, point a telescope at the Apollo landing sites and try to explain why there's a reflection (from the foil-covered lander they left on the moon). When that flag is released, the energy is released, and the flag will oscillate. actually, the flag moved because the flagpole they used was a bit springy and wobled left to right when they planted it :P the fact that there is no atmosphere and thus no friction caused it to woble a lot longer than it would on earth :P doesn't detract from the fact that these conspiracy theorists really need to take a basic physics class :P edit: zomg it was just lego :(

The fact that people buy into this I think shows just how rare an actual understanding of concepts is these days. Everyone knows a bunch of facts and numbers, few people understand the meaning and concepts behind them.
