Ok i'm just wondering seeing as i'm doing these missions solo in a cerberus...
Would i gain LP faster doing lvl3 missions solo in a cerb rather than the lvl4's
The level4's i've been doing take quite a lot of time (the large ones like extraganza and such)
So i am wondering if i should go back to a good level 3 agent?
Or is it more of a question as to picking the correct and less time consuming missions?

ok hate to flame but..1 day of lvl3's , 1 day lvl4's which one gives more lp's???

Well it all depends on skill and the missions that you may/may not get. I can do lvl4 all day and get a few 4-5 hour missions for like 5-6k lp and then I could do a bunch of lvl3 missions and get about the same lp in less time if they are all short ones. So it really varies.

from my lvl4 agent in kakakela i get like 1000lp for guristas extravaganza. that thing took hours?
from some lvl3 agent (albeit in 0.5 sec and better quality) i get 1500lp for some mission that took me 5x minutes including time for undocking and warping in on the location.
I know there's a quality 15 in a 0.3 system (i'm doing caldari navy btw) i don't have the social skills trained high up but would that matter much?

Level 3 missions were always FAR better for me than level 2's, even when 3's were hard to do. I don't see why 4's wouldn't be the same.
The best lvl 3 in .5 or above space gives 2002 LP to me without any of the connections books. I've heard lvl 4's give up to 15k LP. Crappy lvl 3's give 100-300 LP's... I have to assume doing 1 lvl 4 is better than 3-4 lvl 3's.

Are you using like a -20 or something? On a lvl4 extravaganza with only 4 in negotiations and no military/political connections I was getting 3k-4k for extravaganzas in high sec on a quality 12 with 9.0 standing.
All things equal (IE not comparing a -20 with horrible personal standing to a q20 with great personal standing) you will make a lot more doing lvl4s, even if its slower.

I cant see level 3's being faster... with my level 4 for the quick missions like duo of death i get 4-5k lp (i forget exactly) and for bigger ones i get around 10k lp with my skills. I rarely do extravaganza since it takes forever and if i decline it i can do a several missions in the time it takes to do it get more isk and more lp's. Drone missions are fast becomeing my favorite (i used to decline) i get almost 10k lp and they go fast.
Anyways what i would do is set your timer for 2h or something like taht do level 3's in that time then reset and do level 4's in that time all the while recording how much isk + lp you got. Then you know for sure with your skills.
Also i would get lp 2-3x as fast if i did not bother to loot, but i like the extra income from loot so i always loot. If you are after pure lp's i am reasonably sure a good level 4 and no looting would be alot faster. But as i stated before its best for you to try it out yourself, and decide yourself.

It is my opinion that LP gains in l4 missions absolutely destroy L3s.

Speed running lvl4's is more profitable than lvl3's. If it takes you 4 hours to do a lvl4 then dont bother. With that said, I get around 5-6k lp's for bigger lvl4 missions, and that is without any skillbooks. Smartbombs give me better lp/hour than training time on skillbooks.

I'm definitely getting more LP's doing lvl 4 missions. However, as some have pointed out, if it takes you 4 hours to do a simple mission, just quit lvl 4, it means you're not ready for it!
And ****y, if you have a cereberus you should be able to do STI lvl 4 in an hour, well, atleast that's how long my corpmate takes.
To make lvl 4 mission faster, get someone to help, they get some of the bounty but you get the lp and rewards and loot.
Anyway, being able to do lvl 4 fast = more lp = better offer, just find better agents.
