I've spent about 30 minutes using the eve forum search site, googling, and scanning this forum on information on what LPs are, where I can locate how many I have, what I can do with them. Can someone please point me to where I can find this info? I know it has to be here somewhere.

Offers - NEW
Your agent might offer you items in exchange for something. The offer will be based on the amount of loyalty points you have earned from the agent. So the more points you have then most likely you will get a better offer. Your agent will e-mail you with the offer and you should then meet with your agent and explore it. You should evaluate the offer carefully as it is not guaranteed to be good; that all depends on what your agent wants in return.

Thanks for the reply. I did read the guide and found the text you posted for me several times. I haven't been able to find out how to tell how many LP I have. I've received offers from agents, but don't know enough about LPs to know whether to accept or decline.

You earn LP for each agent, they are not pooled together from all the agents you have done missions for. To find out how many LP you have with each agent, use the agents tab in "people and places" and select "show info" while right clicking on each agent. On one of the tabs, you will be shown how many LP you have with each agent.
As to whether or not an offer is any good, I would suggest you ask in your corp chat as the more seasoned players will quickly let you know if that offer is good or bad. Sometimes you might take an offer just because you need the money or want the item offered, in any case don't feel bad about it.
