I want to know what is the best of all, all race available, cruiser/fitting for mining and fighting. I don't care for transport or freighter at that time. Only mining operation and fighting. I need goals for my skills and frankly I'm lost in all this vast choice I have. Now I'm a cruiser user, that's all I know. I want to mine and protect the miners and transports when it's my turn to do so.
So help me please.

You might want to train for gallente ships.
A Vexor cruiser should be able to mine pretty decently with drones, and when needed, it can deploy combat drones to deal with NPCs.
It is not only a mining ship but also very capable combat ship, provided that you have good drone skills.
It is also a pretty capable combat ship. With some more skills, you can switch to a Dominix battleship which is basically a bigger version of the Vexor.
Skills to train for these two ships?
Drones, should be your first V skill (aside from learning skills)
Scout Drone Operation IV
Electronics, Engineering, Mining Drone Operation, Mining, Repair Systems Energy Systems Op, Energy Management and Gunnery Skills as needed.
Hull Upgrades IV (for nano membranes and most importantly, armor hardeners)
That should get you going. And train learning skills if you haven't.

I want to know what the best ship is for fighting! There must be a best ship right? I mean everything depends on game mechanics? Right?

Might be useless for you but not for me. And if you find it useless go elsewhere and bug someone else. I'm only asking questions about what's the best ship/fitting for the people around with their experience of the game, to guide me. This whole forum is about guidance. If you didn't realize it's time for you to start reading it and stop posting bull**** !
Anyway thanks for the advice Talvan. You are not the first one to tell me to go to the Gallente's types of ships.

Pick a race.
Train it.
Stop making useless posts.
And I'll add this one - when you're been playing a while and know what style of play you like, then perhaps come back and ask for guidance on ship types and setups. Asking for an 'I win' ship on this forums is a good way to get ridiculed.
On the other hand you can go with the flavour of the month, which is currently a combination of galleante (drones/nos/ecm) or calidari (missiles/ecm). I will then proceede to laugh at you again when everything gets rebalanced, as always. Just pick a race you like and fly the damn thing.
I can only assume the other forum*****s are either asleep or tired of these threads

Caldari, Minmatar or Gallente cruisers. Amarr are not so used, don't fly them so dont know the reasons.
But as smallgreenblur tried to convey through his trolling there really is no "best" in eve.

Uhm arbitrator are being used and quite popular for their tracking disruptors and drones (add nos, shake, don't stir, have fun  )
others, well maller has a good tank for a T1 cruiser and omen can, for a T1, be a decent gank cruiser.

You want the best of all? OK, here goes:
The best of all shield tankers is a Caldari ship.
The best of all missile slingers is a Caldari ship.
The best of all drone users is a Gallente ship.
The best of all EWar is ??? Caldari I guess, theoretically should be Gallente though, for balance purposes. 
The best of all armor tankers is an Amarr ship.
The best of all cap users is an Amarr ship. (They also use lasers, look ma, no ammo!)
The best at being *good* at everything once you've skilled for a while is Minmatar. (Note that they are therefore not really "the best" at anything and let me reemphasise that they require a lot of skilling to be good, and yet not the best.)
The best at being everything of the above? Sorry, doesn't exist.
Pick a race / ship design that you like and have at it. The best ship is the one that you like and can get the most tactical knowledge/comfort for, really.

Slightly more on topic, while still in the same vein, you have the following four cruisers to study up on if you want to have a "mining cruiser".
Minmatar - Scythe - 3 laser (turret) hardpoints, 2 missile hardpoints, space for one light drone. At max skill the three mining lasers have the strength of 6.
Caldari - Osprey - 3 or 2 lasers, 1 or 2 missile hard points, 4 light drones. Same mining bonus as the Scythe.
Gallente - Vexor - Already mentioned
Amarr - Arbitrator - 75m3 drone bay and a bonus to drone damage/mining yield. Only two laser and one missile hard point, plus a fourth high, probably for a nos.
If you want a combat ship to guard the miners..
Amarr - Maller/Omen?
Gallente - haven't trained for cruisers yet 
Caldari - Caracal/Moa
Minmatar - Rupture/Stabber

I agree with the blurr. My first char was amarr and i bloody hated it, but the gal blaster/drone boats suit me prefectly.
All the races are good dont ask for "I want teh bst plz give it to me"
If you want the best go play WoW and get a rogue. or something

if you have the patience go with the Rupture/Scythe comboit will be better after skills imo. If not go with the Caracal/Osprey.
