okies, wanna do lvl4s (im no newb, but just never done one before xD) and after seeing some screenies feel apprehensive.
so, i use a domi, and the following skills: decent -> high drone skills minimal EW skills (SW+SD+TP capable) perfect cap skills low level large turret skills, low->med misc gunnery skills (adv weap upg lvl3) mechanic lvl5, hull upgrades+repair systems lvl4 decent missile skills (cruise lvl4, torp lvl3, misc missiles skills lvl3+) nav group skills lvl4->5 gallente bs lvl4, caldari+amarr bs lvl2
i normally have 1x drone range link in highslot, 1x ab, 1x lsb, 2x cap charger, 1x sensor booster in med slots, and then 1x t2 rep, 4x n-type hardners, 2x pdu in lowslts.
so, do i stick with domi? and am i ok for taking on lvl4s? if not, what should i do?
thnx v much - mailing me IG will make me love you forever, i tend to lose forum posts

If you can run your T2 rep and all four hardeners continuously, without running out of cap power ... then give it a shot.
If you can't, fit more and better cap rechargers, or power relays, until you can. ________________________________________________

This is your best bet. Get a fast frigate or shuttle if you are cheap and warp into the mission.
Zoom far away so you can look at the mission and take notes on it.
You will die, but rats will not pod you.
At that point you can kinda figure out if a domi will or will not handle it.
Also you can check for warp scrambling frigs, etc etc...

baldour - i can run all continuously, but sometimes lvl3 missions can run thru the tank - i use the appropriate hardners for each rat, so god knows how when my resistances are like 85+ xD
toy, i knew about that, but i wanted to get an idea beforei accepted a mission i couldnt complete, and took faction hit (current corp im working for is for jumpclones, so need that standing! )
shadarle, i know about that and use it - but its not the same as doing it/talking to someone who has =D
anyway, thnx for the input. anyone suggest what i should train nextto make em more easy? t2 reps? drop a medslot for a recharger, and fit another repper? thnx =)

Edited by: D''onryu Shoqui on 27/04/2006 00:09:23 i doubt 1x t2 rep is enough. my domi setup is.
5x 250mm rails ,1x tractor beam 1x AB , 5x cap chargers 2x l armor repairs , 3x armor hardners & 2x cap relays. can run both repairs for a fair ammount of time (forever if u swap ab for another cap charger) but usually i just need to burst the second rep every so often. wouldnt bother with any NOS you wont need them unless you try the missions were drones aggro everything and probably get you killed anyway.
250 rails because majority of ships are cruisers and i just sit still or slowly crawl in one direction.
everything i have on is named ,feel free to use t2 but its not needed.
dont over 60 L4 missions and never lost a domi on yet.
ive been avoided the missions that are bugged against drone users and as soon as you launch your drones everything aggroes but they dont come around to often.
/me waits for someone to flame him for having guns on like last time

You have better skills that i had when i started lv4's, with the right setup you should be able to do all the medium/easy no sweat and most of the tougher ones with at worse a few warp outs (stay away from right hand of zazz and worlds collide in the domi tho!). Go for full cap regen and tank, the drones are your weapons, although i use 5x 250mm guns which arent to shabby at thinning the cruiser's.

Well it won't be with that setup. Cap relays will be nice for your cap and you can run two reps with some work but fitting mroe hardeners will mean you need to repair less and one repairer should be enough. Basically, 1 T2 large rep, the rest with hardeners to get the maximum resistances you possibly can. This should involve a good damage control and a few T2 active hardeners corresponding to the damage types the mission deals.

Edited by: CaptainSeafort on 27/04/2006 16:10:14 i hadnt checked damage controls since they were fixed - are they actually useful then?
and does the 5% bonus for fitting a 3rd really help at all? my current armor rep tank lasts just fine for cap, but i ocasionally have to turn on my LSB for a while just to keep up with the damage =/ wud swapping a PDU for another repper, and then swapping my LSB for a cap charger b a good idea?
and as far as im concerned, the drone range module is a must for me - 45km is toooooo little range =)
EDIT: and why right-hand-of-zazz and worlds collide a problem for domi? drones bring in too much agro?

I'd suggest dropping the LSB -- the Domi is an armor tanker, and any shield boosting just takes away your ability to do it correctly. Swap the LSB for another cap charger and you should be much, much better off.

can you tank Zazzmatazz without rewarps with this setup? If yes, what kind of hardeners this involve and are there any gang support?
