I keep hearing people are now able to solo 10/10's with command ships. Any truth to this? And no this aint no scam. -- The Scammers Cookbook |

After running a few calculations, I found that this might be possible but it would require some modules worth billions and you'd have a hell of a time dealing damage with a solo tank that hot. Capacitor may also be a big problem since the tanks that come up on top for me here on paper are shield tanks that drain a lot of energy.

Could you pull that type of tank off with an Eos? If you can it might be possible to use 5 heavy drones or 5 sentry drones for damage. Its not going be fast but it should kill most if not all the rats. _________________________________________________ Nominate famous people in Eve who had an impact on you. |

The Eos can pull off about 4085.04 DPS tanked versus serpentis running a dual medium corpum repairer setup with 3 armoured warfare links, two thermal 64% hardeners and a kinetic 64% hardener, supported with cap rechargers in the mids. So yes.

If on paper it can be done, then I am sure someone is already doing it. And if someone is doing it, thats a bil per run I imagine they are getting, meaning they can afford any mods required. -- The Scammers Cookbook |

True. I don't doubt my numbers, they've always been right when tested in-game and I have yet to make a well calculated tank against NPCs with my new spreadsheet that has failed in-game. I have a friend that likes to take the **** out of me for doing all this stuff theoretically but sometimes I think people forget that Eve is just one really big sum.
It'd take a while with an Eos but it sounds to be the fastest I can think of. But honestly, I do think they should make the 10/10s tougher or make tougher ones. I was getting all giddy at the prospect of working out a tank setup for the 10/10s back when people hadn't yet completed the full things but now I can make a solo ship that can do it and a dual setup that can tank literally over 10 times as much. There's nothing out there to challenge that, it's just overkill. I wish they'd release up to 15/15 complexes or some super mega tough hidden ones.

Ok ok, the reality is, I want to solo a 10/10 for the sake of being able to say that I can do it. I have the money to buy any mods/ships required. Do share this info -- The Scammers Cookbook |

The key is the crystal implant set, which is REMARKABLY overpowered compared to other sets.
crystal set doesnt touch capital booster fyi

i would assume that a caldari dred with a mini recon webbing and painting could actually do a 1010 pretty fast
btw half the thred i read say capital ships cant enter 10/10 the other half say they can so its probably best to find that out first

Edited by: Marcsens Lil''Helper on 27/04/2006 15:45:48 Before last patch (i think), i could to solo a serp 10/10 did it with a navy apoc and a massive core x type tank, a 7k+ smartbomb and some officer cap rechargers. It was possible, but tad boring because it took ages to do a whole run, so i stopped it eventually.
Edit: oh, and without slave imps and without a ship fitting tool, i just went in and tried it. :P

Edited by: Vanye on 27/04/2006 16:12:53 I can tank and beat the serp 10/10, apart from the last overseer, with a T2 fitted Tempest. The stronghold takes too long to kill, either I run out of ammo or the stage starts spawning again, but I suppose it's possible with an Amarr (command) ship.

The first stage of a sansha 10/10 is tankable on a BS, but your gonna need a couple of BS to take down the first station, you won't be able to do that inna command ship :) ___________________________________________________

Edited by: Macro Media on 28/04/2006 08:40:14 You cant take capital ships into 10/10's anymore, so its moot point about capital boosters

Seems a moot question to me tbh.
First of all, the serpentis being the easiest of the three types of 10/10 complexes, and there being only 5 of those complexes in the galaxy, you won't get a chance to solo it often. One is in hands of D2, three in hands of BoB, one I'm not sure about, but I'd say it's what's sparking all the interest in the syndicate region to start with since it's there.
Secondly, who solos a 10/10 in three-four hours when he can rush it with two or three friends in one hour instead ?

Because 10/10 is the only thing nobody has confirmed soloing yet. It is a acheivement, and it is theoreticaly possible and is the last PvE challange left in eve -- The Scammers Cookbook |

You can consider it confirmed that the serpentis 10/10 has been done solo.
If you would include one ship doing a complex with a load of fighters assigned to it by an afk friend outside the plex to still be soloing I'd say you could say any complex in Eve is soloable, and probably has been done or will be done that way.

Haha me and nyphur have come up with some interesting combos to do a 10/10 with only 2 ships, 1 would be dangerous, 3 wouldnt beto hard, basically think tank, Support, Dps ---------------------------

I can do solo, I'm sure of it. Not the one you're doing, that end boss is bugged or something.

I was running some theoretcial Claymore setups with your spreadsheet (nice job btw) that can tank 15,000+ dps. I dont have the skills or billions of ISK to make sure the numbers actually work out ingame :( ... and the dps would be almost nil.
Also noticed a bug with your spreadsheet -- if you pulse the rep it pulses your passive regen too.
