Recently i had left <alliance that can not be named> to start a new corp. Then i got this great idea and tried it out. Now, at the moment being a student i cant really be a corp director so after a few days i disbanded the corp and gave generous reinbursement to the members who believed in my idea. However im going to post the idea so anyone who's interested and wants to use it can.
On reflection sections are concerned with how i looked at the idea after i used it in the corp.
So here is the system in a nutshell.
Praedatism
What is Praedatism? Its is a mixture of many systems. The underlying philosophy of Praedatism is that the strong levitate to the top of he social order and weak to the bottom. But what is unique is that anyone no matter how strong or weak they are have a chance to reach the top.
Strength or weakness can be characterised as being a good leader, charasmatic, good at managing wealth and keeping people happy. There are numerous other skills i havent mentioned that help aswell.
On reflection : Works very well. People who have a lot of time and expertise or even financial muscle will control those who may not. Some may argue that this isnt fair or democratic ... but its quite obvious that democracy is a weak system in times of war or military orginisations. =P and of course, if your a corp in eve, theres always **** hitting the fan.
How it works!
Structure
There are 4 members at the top who form a Self contained Cell. 1 of these members is the leader and holds sway over the cell ie. has more influence in decisions, deals out rewards ect.
On reflection : Solidifies the position of the leader. works well.
Each of the 3 upper echalon members are leaders of another Cell of 4 members and the same rules as apply.
And so the chain moves on where each leader of a cell is a member of another cell. This is a safe guard to keep leaders and members in perspective and sympethise with each others positions. (Of course the Overseer right at the top has no one to answer to and the members right at the end of the chain do not lead)
This creates a roughly pyramydical structure of cells.
On reflection : Binary Trees anyone , pyramid structure is solid and powerful.(just like the real ones). This works very well aswell _______________________________________________________ Another great idea from Arcturus Lynx! |

Quaternary tree heirarchical collective command structure ftw \o/. What practical use would it be?

I already do this. Its function is to ensure that if one of my cells gets exposed, they other cells can carry on. -- The Scammers Cookbook |

the financial incentives to vote for those with the strongest leadership and smarts rewards all others when they reach leader status - the reimbursement down the chain continues to lead to a time reward ratio at the same tiem those that find themselves on the bottom will try new strategies to get back to top (perhaps removing the 5% of the worst performers in the corp each month) with readmission a month later might improve performance through natural selection.

The structure is simply a typical bureaucratic hierarchy. Although chaotic since there is no clearly defined skills/characteristics that determine advancement. (There are as you say any kind of 'strengths' that will determine who will rise to the top)
The voting system suffers the same problems as party-formed gov'ts have: It's possible for the structure to not change at all. Therefore, no consensus.
Who decides if a corp vote is called for? ANY 'corpwide decision' is too vague and would effectively mean something as simple as 'should we sell these minerals' could entail a corp-wide vote. ________________________________________________ Captain Anderi Bourdieu - Branch Manager Caldari Office - Hadean Drive Yards

It is not within my power to lock threads on this forum.
Actually I'd consider it to be a bit of a greyzone since you can change positions in your pyramid. Just saying that it *might* not be allowed, sorry if it came off as seeming like I knew for sure.
