Simple question. I am just curious how others see or perceive alliances or corporations in alliance making Alt Corps for the sole reason to War Dec an alliance.
Which in my perception is only done to save their alliance from war inside empire and to provide an excuse to war overall.
Honorable or not?
Respectful or not?
Opinions?

It sounds like an ok idea. I take it you mean if a bunch of carebears buy pvp characters on the forums and make an alt corp like that, rather than them flying around in noob ships. Either way, its not a bad thing.

TBH Alt corps are used for a myriad of differant reasons , cant see what the problem is creating a alt corp to war dec ,
Although personnally the whole alt corp business has its uses but i see it as hiding behind a smoke screen.
Honourable in the circs u listed = No but who but the mains will know
Respectful = Prob not but again its the mains who know and if they dont care who else will.

What's the point? You can just dec their main alliance, removing the point of them making an alt corp from which to attack from right?

The alts need to be removed. One account should be one character.

This wont remove alts...there are so many people with 2 or more accounts. I actually think those are the ones the OP is talking about, as only those can afford the skill-time to train their alts for pvp.

Doesn't matter if the character is alone on account or not, not even if the character is the only one the player has and dodges out into a different corp. Bottom line is he/she is trying to avoid consequences for his alliance and that's just lame.
Reminds me of the old days when deccing alliances were cost dependant on how large you were yourself - the good old days with Kestrel-alt corps going around deccing any old alliance for 1 mill a week. Cowards.

No the alt corp is not filled with alt accounts. But filled with mains of an alliance in general and to what I see in a large number. It is somewhere the range of 90+ pilots so far.

Thinking about that though, if you had a large enough alt corp you could war dec an alliance and put a rather large hinder on their empire operations.

You shoot up their mama's crib. Declare war on the source. Then you aren't limited to only fighting the thugs. You can gat their jainas running tricks and pulling ice in empire as well.
Reminiscent of the whole RA/RAT debacle. What did .5. do? [not that that's a perffect solution but a case study nonetheless]

i think i know what this is about.
1. ALTZ is not an ALT corp, despite the ticker.
2. ALTZ is no longer part of RA, this has nothing to do with them.

Does that mean I could have 3 new accounts per account I currently have? I'd hate to lose out on my 3 heavily trained alts on my 2nd account.

Anyways, I'm glad that alt corps exists, we had a corpmate that had... different views... on how to manage our standing lists, mainly he wanted to shoot anything that leaves a trail from its tail. He therefore decided to create an alt character and form a corp with him, so that he could join it and wage war on anyone he wanted.
Saves our rep and suits his needs.
