After playing a bit over two weeks I thought the best mission/pvp ships were the heavier ships as BC and BS, but since I started browsing these forums Ive seen several suggestions for tech 2 Frigates pwing the big ships. Also saw a video with a guy doing excellent stuff with a Taranis.
Im considering to change my focus and start training skills for an Assualt Frigate or an Interceptor, would this be a good idea or is it better to stick to the path of BC->BS?

I love AF's and HAC's. Both of these can blow through level 3 missions fairly easily. For Level 4's you realy need a Battleship though.
Interceptors suck at running missions, they are realy designed for PVP. So I would look at an AF or HAC if your going to run missions.
I am not a fan of BC's and the only reason I can see to use them is if you can't affored a BS or HAC/AF. Then again, I hate anything thats slow and ineffective. ;) On that note, Battleships are only realy effective against other Battleships unless your flying a drone boat.

The beauty of Eve is that every ship has its place.
Some ships, like the Heron, have as their place "using scan probes when you can't find a REAL covert ops pilot," but every class is useful. I still can't even train a BS skill, let alone pilot one, but I know that battleships are still the word for fleet battles. Of course, those elite frigates have some pretty awesome PvP purposes, such as raiding, etc... They're expensive little buggers though, since you can't insure them for very much.

I have a BC and an AF. I prefer my BC for lvl 3 missions. If I know their will be a lot of frig / intys on a mission I fit a webber and assault launchers. The artys take care of the rest. You pays your money and makes your choice.

I love both my harpy and ferox :)
imho, with low skills a bc is probably better. Its fully insurable (a big plus), it more flexible with lower fitting skills (af can be quite tight with cap\cpu\pg) and af's really only become great when fitting out with t2 mods.
