What I would like to see is a different approach to the game. Use highsec as a training ground for new players, teach them how to fit ships, how to fight, how to PvE. Let them amass wealth and then, when comfortable, join PvP in low and null. It would be nice if instead of "pirates" and "carebears" we could all work together to make highsec a friendlier and more welcoming place, and use it to draw more fresh blood into the game. That would then allow more people to build themselves up and become players in low/null. The way to do that isn't by blowing people up and "creating content" it's by enabling better run highsec PvE corps that can have a positive influence on the game.
Hey, guess what? EvE is still a place where you can have different approaches to the game (yay!). There's no need to nerf the game to enable better run highsec PvE corps. Go run one! Nothing's stopping you. And when you do, expect to be war'decced because well, that's part of the game too. Unless you want to get rid of war'deccing in highsec too.
Hey, in terms of education, here's a great example. I scanned down someone doing a sleeper site and barged in on their fun. Instead of whining and complaining at me they fought back and GOT SOMETHING OUT OF IT.

Very nice... as a highsec PvE player it's irrational to be in a real corp...
Disadvantages - wardeccs, awoxxing, theft
Advantages - none

No advantages to being a corp like E-uni where you can basically get your hand held for whatever you want to be good at?
The "learning zone" hisec you want already exists... you just have to join a player corp and learn from real life other people.

You can learn the same things on your own and just fleet with non-corpmates. The game provides no advantages for being in a highsec PvE corp. It does provide a staggering array of disadvantages. As CCP themselves stated, the rational thing for a highsec PvE player to do is to avoid player corps. |

Condolences on your 800k isk loss. I have sent you 5 million isk as reimbursement and a bonus. Please refrain from shooting flashy yellow ships in the future. You should know that not everyone in Eve [has poor class] like these folks...keep your head high and make some iskies.

While it is true in glorious 'murika we can say those things we want to, it does not prevent there from being consequences for what is said. Consequences such as ships and pods being exploded in virtual space, for example.
I do have to apologize, for I was still very stressed from work when this went down, and I brought too much of that with me into the game. The battle played out like a great book with a lousy ending, and that left me more bitter than was appropriate. My mail was far less courteous than I prefer to send, thus resulting in the significant blanked out areas. It was not classy, my foe deserved better, and for that I am sorry.
What I am not sorry about is the violence. It shall continue unabated.

Sometimes even a loss can be a win. I lunged into the fray, heedless of danger... which seems to be a recurring theme with me, and boldly flipped an Ishtar this morning. After a lively battle back and forth, in which I must say I actually did almost get him to structure before he remembered that his ship was bonused for large drones.... he dropped some fed navy ogres and proceeded to wtfpwn me. It was simply put, awesome. Everyone likes to win, but a fight that has both combatants on the ropes at varying points during the conflict is something amazing.
Afterwards I had a long chat with the victor, and laughs were shared as I helped try to get him down from the adrenaline high. He was downright giddy as he'd never really fought another player and was at the moment still trying to get the seat of his chair out from between his buttocks. This, I did not offer to assist with. He expressed a significant measure of awe that the mighty ishkur could punish his ishtar as severely as it did, and gratitude as well, as I had made his morning as entertaining as he had made mine.
I left a pile of pamphlets and a link or two for him to check out in hopes that what transpired this morning would help enrich his EVE experience, and I do believe that it may have.
Edit: I checked his killboard later and it seems he had actually fought before, but never for such high stakes (and most of his fights were losses). Still, props to this guy for being a good sport both during and after the fact. I think I may have piqued his interested when it comes to advanced frigates at the very least.

More likely someone explaining why this player should have never engaged in PVP with his PVE ship. I mean if they hadn't they would not have gotten a lovely killmail, a tidy little bonus from my bounty, and that sublime 'WTF' moment as they sifted through the wreckage and found a variety of drugs, strippers and for some odd reason a janitor.
