I assume you just forgot to add content to your post..?
Well, if the title is the question, heres the answer:
A convo is when someone opens a private conversation window with you ingame. This can be done by r-clicking on the characters portrait (from another channel, or from a search) and selecting Start Conversation, or something similar to that (I suck )
It normally costs 100 isk to convo someone, much like inviting to a gang, and they can choose not to accept it as well.

Note that in game costs can range from 100 isks default to 0, or 1,000,000,000,000+ if someone chooses to change it.

Nope, the max CSPA charge is 100,000 ISK.

What determines if the charge is 100 or 100,000?

Yes, this is something the player can set. Most people I know set it to 0 if they talk with a lot of people. Others set it to very high values if they dont want random convo requests.

I never really understood this. The charge is like a long distance phone charge I assumed. Where does the money go? How can you change the cost to 0?
Thanks.

You can set the charge to zero by right clicking on the Inbox tab of the EVEMail Window (yah, odd place I know) It will be one of the options under there.
When you get billed to convo/evemail someone, the isk is gone (money sink). The recipient of the message does not receive any of it. _____________________________________________________________________ Thar be Pirates
