zwerg	Posted - 2006.04.29 11:26:00 - [1] The Crow - Unbeatable for a Frigate, Recently my corp/alliance and me did some try outs : Crow vs Claw Crow vs Ranis Crow vs Stiletto Crow vs Crusader The Crow Fitting we used was the following Highs 3 Rocket Launcher II ( Thorn t1 ammo ) Small e50 nos Meds 1 Small Capacitor Booster II ( 75's ), MWD II, Warp Inhibitor ( 20km's ) Lows 3 Nanofibers Crow vs Claw = Dead Crow Crow vs Ranis = Dead Crow Crow vs Stiletto = Dead Crow/when last missle reached home dead Stiletto Crow vs Crusader = Uber dead Crow The Claw/Ranis/Stiletto/Crusader had an ordianair PvP 1on1 fitting mostly 1 webber/ Scrambler and tank. Then we tried Standart Missle Crow, it sucked, no damage output, but in most cases the crow could stay away from webber range and did poor damage, but in some time it would have won, Then we asked around, '' Micro warp drive or Not -Crow'' Most said, they are going with mwd and rockets, to be exact 90% = 28 of 30 peeps, So that is the Con- proof for the ''perfect'' interceptor. zwerg
Gronsak	Posted - 2006.04.29 11:27:00 - [2] you dont think it has to do with the fact that the crow was setup **** WTF is with 3 nanofibres, replace that with 2 DMG t2 mods, and then look at the results -------------------Sig----------------------- Nerf the Blasterthron its too dam powerfull :/

DeathWarrior	Posted - 2006.04.29 12:16:00 - [19] Setup is naff. try long range crow 3 std launcher, 1x dual pulse II 1 mwd II, 1 web, 1 warp disrupt 1 dmg control, 2 cpr short range.. 3 rocket launcher II, 1 150mm AC 1 mwd II, 1 web ( fleeting ), 1 warp disruptor 1 dmg control, 200mm plate, cap relay. The 'problem' Crow setup for other frigates is using Missile Launchers, not Rockets. And even with Rockets, you shouldnt lose to all other inties on average, you should win some fights since rocket DPS is awesome. Set your ship up properly, get a decent pilot, and try again. I'd happily face 2 of those at once, **** I wouldn't have to wonder if fitting a web was a good idea... I'd probably kill both in 3 volleys each from my gatlings

Either you fit a web and your opponent can warp out whenever he wants to. Or you fit a scrambler and get BBQ'd cause you never got to your optimal.

It takes some practice but thats the beauty of a missile ship, and no you dont web them at 20k you keep them at that range. They get to 10 you slap a webber on em.
