We've endured Downtime, patchdays, rollbacks and shaky server days. With the upcoming big patches there is only one way to keep hordes of raving lunatics at bay. Eve CCG in my mailbox please. I'll take 1 case (Is it 18, or 24 boxes like magic?) in my mailbox. A corper (Karak) suggested a funneh: Put employment history dates on the backs of the cards. In future editions, opponents can see the backs of my cards and say OMG, a 2 year old Eve CCG player, i'm doomzored!
Serious props to the fellow who makes the paper ship models, but i really want a Eve space combat board game. Like Battlespace, or Leviathan. With metal minis i can paint.
Figure the battleship models to be the same size as a Narn Bin'Tak model from Babylon 5 Wars.
And a chromed out hot pink Apoc model 4TW!

I think the CCG should have random quotes on it, be it from in game logs or the forums, on certain cards.

Board game could be interesting, depending on the ruleset used. (hint: Starfire. And yes, I'm sure that the SDS would liscence the ruleset)

If they do a CCG, I'd rather it be online only, else finding others to play with would be difficult.

It will be a card game. I wouldn't rule out an online version of it done as well as the card game the same way Wizards of the Cost did MtG: Online. Really an online only card game based on an online game is a bit silly.
If you take a look at the Magic the Gathering website there is a function to search for card / game shops that run sanctioned tournaments. They almost certainly run games for other CCGs and are mostly more than happy for folks to come down and just play casually.
It's a lot of fun to meet people and actually read their reactions when you deal out that killer combo. Very social pastime, I highly recommend it. Oh yeah, the prize money is good. It's a nice feeling to head out on a Sunday morning with that deck you have been fine tuning all evening suring that mining op to walk away with $200 prize money for playing MtG. Great fun.
The shop I play at are already keeping an eye out for Eve:CCG and if it's gets reviewed in Scrye magazine it should see a very good take-up. Maybe stick a copy of the Eve client and a 14 day trial key in the introductory boxed set

Imagine the size of the deck if you used players  it would take you 100+ years to play a game and you'd have to shuffle using an industrial... shuffling/shaking machine....

CCGs are great. I own like twenty different ones and compete in the odd Magic - The Gathering tournaments. My current YuGiOh deck is worth ú500...
Very very very social activity. Only problem some people find is you actually need friends to play ^^
