Note: these are very, very large. If youre on 56k, I hope youve got zen-master-like patience.
As per my other wallpapers, I made this for myself, but it seems some people have just as bad a taste as mine, so here's one I made while i should have been studying cognitive neuroscience of language - AI exams ftl.
Took the inspiration from an old soviet-era propaganda poster I saw at some pseudo-socialist philosphy student's house last week while I should have been programming (a pattern begins to emerge...). It seemed fitting as me and Mr. Nuvolari have put out wallpapers of this ship with a russian theme...
As before, background colour schemes take only a few minutes, so if you want different colours, just ask. Just dont expect them to be exact replicas as I'll play with the filters :)

I like the Soviet propaganda styled Eve backgrounds. Whenever I look at a Badger I always think to myself "Wow, if the Soviets built any large-scale space haulers I bet it would look just like that."
Erm, yeah, nice backgrounds.

Like the red and yellow better than the red and orange, it seems to work better, but I'm not exactly sure why...
Anyway, great idea, I like how this came out.

Nikolai, really? Huh. I prefer the orange one.
BTW, saw an error in the background - no sleep ftl - so uploading v1.1 on eve-files now :)

Nice designs.
I have to ask though, in your signature, the ship is covered in cyrillic. It has a large word, which looks at first glance to be in Russian. However, there is no way in hell that is a legitimate Russian word. I've tried it every which way I can, and as a Russian, I'm throughly confused.
What does it mean to you? An abbreviation? A made up word to look cool on the side of the ship?
I mean, the pronunciation is impossible. Like "K-Z-Z-A-U" and if that is a second word, or if they are joined, "S-N-V-S-S". Way too many consonants and only like two or three vowels.
Dunno why I had to hijack your thread, sorry. But that was buggin the hell out of me, especially when I get smacked w the mod bat for posting in Russian.

EDIT: Is that ҚЗЗПЫРУСНВСС or ҚЗЗПЫРУ СНВСС or something different? It's still throwing me for a loop. Not sure if that is an "A" a "D" or a "Pe" in the first word. Gah! Я не знаю.

Ok, it's trying to put your name on the side! I finally got it. The first part is trying to spell out your name, I dig it. The second w the SNVSS, that like Soviet Navy something or other...
Gotcha! Kепиру is a good change, although I understand how the Russian Z's resemble a backwards three or E.

SNVSS is my corp's ticker :)
I looked up some transliteration guides on the net, using the most widely used one, which ironically is the US library of congress guide.
Sure, ill give the amarr BS a go tonight, soon as a figure out some theme for it, and a vector backdrop a noob like me can do :D

I think it's because of the shade of yellow you used, it's almost washed-out, kind of too-bright, that in addition to the better contrast with the red, just gives it more of a Soviet-era feeling...
