If you like listening to Eve Radio then you may want to know that a new bill/law wants to shut it and every other shoutcast/mp3 radio station down.

yeah i heard something about this.One radio station i listen to has been forced to stop doing live braodcasts on the net so now u have to wait 24 hours to listen to the previous days broadcast something to do with the performers rights or something.

Gawd...I hate to admit it at times but I will now. I am an American.
I also would like to share with everyone:
Most Americans are not ingorant lambs being fed to the slaughter who think everyone owes them something in return. Sure there are a lot of them. There are actually a lot in our government that need to be removed.
I hope a forum mod is capable of snipping the quoted comment before this gets bad. Heck, I want to flame this fool for posting this crap and I am probally his nehigbor!

I'm getting so damned fed up with the direction the government is heading here the US I am one person who will be taking up arms when the time is right. We need help. Yes, we need help from everyone in every country. It's worse then you could possibly imagine.
Media lies to you and any open channel of communication is harmfull to the American government. This is why they _will_ likely bring down EVE Radio. It's a medium with the potential for others to share ideas and coordinate a means to resovle issues...

Drifting off topic a bit - I'm American and I have to buy bsd from Canada and antivirus from England to get decent protection. US goverment won't allow any of our corps to write decent security because they may want to spy on you next. bah

Funny how a simple thread about an online radio station can turn into a flamefest
As for Eve-radio, I love it, probally listen to it at least 4-5 hours a day. And I really hope this doesnt end up affecting them.
