Agent Info: You need an effective faction, corp, or personal standing of at least 1.10 to use this agent
My Personal Security Rating is 1.30, so why is this agent unavailble to me?
ALso, How can I improve a Faction Rating? |

Security rating has nothing to do with standing--what matters is your standing to that corp.

Do missions, and train up the Connections skill.

Also, R&D agents won't talk to you, even if you have enough standing because you need certain skills trained first.

there are several ways to raise standing with a corp. Faction standing is done by raising faction standing with the faction which the corp belongs to. You can raise that faction standing by doing storyline missions for any corp in that faction. Note that this will decreae opposing factions standings.
You can also raise your standing by doing agent missions for that corp. THe lowest faction which will still aloow missions believe is -1.0 for that corp. This will get a -18 quality level 1 agent. as you do missions for an agent, your standing with that agent and his corp will rise. As your standing rises, more agents become available. Every 14-16 missions you will get an offer for a storyline mission from the relevant faction. THe storyline agent will eve mail youy to tell you about it.
You can train social to 3. This opens the skill called connections. Training connections will raise your standing with all corps and factions that are neutral ot friendly to you. Tarining diploamcy will raise faction for hostile corps and factions. Training criminal connections will help with outlaw corps and factions as well.
Those are the most straight forward ways to raise standing. You can also join a player corp who already has high standing with the corp you are interested in.
