Guys im gonna get a domi (weyhey!) im gonna need a setup for gate camping with it. Ill be in a gang with tacklers and other bs and whatnot. Im antipirate so im only going to be killing -5's (gate camping in empire low sec). so theres the details.
i was thinking:
highs - heavy nos 4tw (full rack or as many as i can fit, how many can a domi fit)
meds - um, im kinda stuck here, i was thinking full ecm but after messing with remote sensor damps im thinking about using them. maybe a mix of both, ideas anyone?
lows, dual rep maybe, that full set of nos should run a dual rep fine right? dual rep would provide for an awsome tank as ive experimented with it on my brutix, luv the dual rep.
so there you go, my thoughts, cant think of any better setup but its always best to ask sp any input/constructive flaming would be great

u can fit 5 heavy nos and 1 med nos on a domis highs if u use 1 pds and 1 rcu or 1rcu2 shud do the trick. And u should be able to fit a T2 LAR and a t2 MAR in lows with ease.

Since you are in a gang, I would consider Target painters. Reason for the Painters is it boosts the targets sig radius so the entire gang hits more often, and does more damage.
Also, warp jammers, as one never knows how many stabs someone is carrying.
And don;t forget, if your gate camping, consider sentry drones.

...And you get as good tank (with same amount of slots used) when you replace t2 LAR + t2 MAR + t2 RCU with 3x T2 MAR. Actually you save more PG and its much cheaper. But then again that setup is awful in so many dimensions that it cannot be saved even with smart thinking.
You can loosen the NOS (ganking is faster anyways) if you fit cap booster. Named heavy cap booster can keep up with dual large rep tank. You can still fit few heavy NOS to counter enemys NOS'es or if you want to fit cap neutralizer (much more useful in short fights) you might need that extra cap from NOS. Use ECM in meds with tacking mods if needed.

Edited by: Tenchu Migoto on 01/05/2006 23:16:21 I've always played with the idea of a gate-gank domi, and here's what I've been thinking shortly post RMR. It's rather sloppily put together, so please excuse any poor fittings:
Drone situation: Bouncer sentry drones placed 100km off the gate in many directions (like sentry gun placement in empire)
Ship positioned "on" the gate
HI NOS (fit these last, so you fill in your CPU/PG)
MED 2x 20km Disrupters 2x 15km Domi Webbies 1x Sensor booster
LOW 3x 1600mm RT Plates 1x LG Rep 2x Signal Amplifiers 1x Damage Control
The trick is to lock them fast as possible, web/scram them, and let your sniper-sentries go to town on them while they remain NOSed
The 1600mm RTs add a "decent" buffer between you and a quick death, while the Rep will take care of any after-battle scars

So with 2x Webb, this setup would've pwned?
(not to mention skill of the pilot)

Thats not a gank domi.
A gank domi has dual 250 II's, ew, and a armor tank.
But the nos domi would prolly work out best for gate camping with several other people.

I'd say it's the essence of a Gank Domi... Let's the drones do the work while the ship locks down the enemy...
The issue with this setup that I find most troublesome would be the possibility of more than 1 enemy at a time
