Ok, time to post here again cause it's starting to get more and more annoying.
The Market Discussions used to be the first sub-forum I read when I logged into the eve website.
These days I look at it maybe once every week or two weeks. It's just filled up with all these IPO threads that are so much clutter (for me) that finding interresting stuff becomes too much work.
And from my observation, as the IPO threads increase in number less and less of the general market discussion is taking place. Most of the threads on general Market discussion these days are new players asking questions (no offence meant, this is the perfect place for that) and none of the lively and interresting stuff that used to spring up here every week or two.

I'll reiterate what I posted earlier in this thread. The best way to convey a suggestion for the forums is to mail (but not spam) the moderators at [email protected], not spamming a thread with "/signed". There might be some changes coming in the future to the forums in terms of organization, so any input players may have in terms of suggestions is best sent there.

One idea I had was to have a central site where companies could post their reports and notices to share holders.
I agree trying to look through this forum for the various links is very tedious, specially if you are just starting into this field. Some companies have been using blogger, others a different blogging site. But if there was one central one and it tied into the EGSE, then that would be fantastic.
Main page, shows latest news from all the companies and links to the various company pages on that site. Forums as well for discussion regarding such companies.
If anyone would like to work on something like this, Please contact me. I have some tools and such at my disposal that can be used.

This company line has been parroted so many times, I can't see how it holds any meaning anymore.
Adjectives fail me... oh wait, I remember one: "facile"

Ok, since I haven't heard from anyone. I thought I would say what I was thinking.
I have a webserver that i'm willing to host a site that would allow corps that were joining the EGSE to:
1: Have a blog area for reports, notices, and news for share holders. 2: a forum for that corp and share holders to talk. 3: archive of past earnings and what not 4: Information on the company along with write ups. 5: Direct link to the stock buy/sell page on EGSE
There are two ways this could go.
1: CEO or duly appointed person would post the reports, answer questions, and put news up that share holders would want to know about. 2: Those of us running the site could do it if the CEO's would send us the information needed.
This of course would require the cooperation of the various corporations that wanted to trade on the EGSE.
Ideas? Input?

If it manages to allow the Market Discussion to go back to how the used to be before this IPO craze, I'm all for it.
But unless CCP does it with a new forum I doubt it will really have that effect.
Also I have mailed the mods and been told this will be considered next time forum changes come up. So I let it generally rest and just repost here when it REALLY starts to annoy me again (every now and then). I'm just sad that all the great threads, discussions and exchanges that used to be held here don't happen anymore.
It's mostly all about IPOs (sooner or later some of them are going to go the way of the tulips...) --- The Advanced Drone Control Panel. |

Don't fret yourself, we ALREADY have a forum for intelegent discussions on EVE ecomomy matters. Yet most of you ignore it.

I find that lounge a bit useless, but then again I guess I don't have access to all the forums yet?

It's nice to see you using it though and helping it to grow. Like anything the more people there the better it will be. At the moment we have a total of 483 registered members. and some of our most active have been there since day 1.
