Im currently a few days into Eve at a trating of 5.0 with my agent was told at 10.0 level 2 missions would open to me but.... my punisher wouldnt cut it with my skills, I believe them even though I can run worlds collide in about 30 min (personally I dont see what all the fuss is about as I lost 2 frigates then learned how to do the mission) but this is more info then ya need.....
1) I want something that can do level 2 missions...what should i go to...oh... (I want to stay in an Amarr ship please....t hey look so nice!)
2) maybe a little advice on the skills... I know that amarr ships generally use pulse lazers and armor repair....afterburners are always nice for speed also.... anything else i could add.

Ammar cruiser? Or ammar t2 frig. Either will do it. Personally i would recomment the maller for it's excellent tanking and decent damage / tracking.

Just because you can fly a cruiser does not mean that you must fly a cruiser. I guarantee that it will lead you to lose more isk in replacing ships you cannot fly well. Focus more on your frigate. A good frigate pilot can run level 3 missions in one.

I seriously doubt you can run level 3 missions in a t1 frigate. Even in a maller there are some hairy spots.

an arbitrator is a very good lvl 2 runner
just get ur done skills up a bit and it walks them all

You maybe could do a level III in a T1 frigate but it would take an age and you couldn't do them all.
I did frigates for level I's cruisers for level II's and BC for level III. It worked fine for me, you learn at a decent rate and it's not to hard on the wallet.
I'd say Maller after Punisher at any rate.

the Retribution is the ship you should be looking into training for. it's like a punisher or steroids and can do all lvl3 missions.

Omen would be a good choice and I would suggest getting one as soon as you can afford to buy, fit and insure it. Granted you probably won't have the best skills and will probably lose it to some stupid mission along the line, but thats all part of learning the game.

A punisher is a good ship,but once you can buy a cruiser,do it.
Id go with an omen because of the speed and the extra missile slot for those you cant hit =).

Punisher => Maller
AF are cool, but needing longer for training and atm AF costing MORE as a Maller... (I know the fitting of a maller isn't that cheap, too.)
