I just got myself a Prophecy, which I have been wanting for a while now.
The only thing is , it travels at about 105 sub-warp, and only 315 with an overdrive and 10Mn Afterburner fitted.
I want most of my slots for combat gear, but i was just wondering the best way to make this lump a bit faster ??? Ta

105 m/s???
Its base speed is 150 m/s, you must have fitted big armor plating on it. 1600mm? You can train up navigation, that will make you faster, and don't fit overdrives unless you're aiming for breaking speed records. Use nanofibers instead they give you more agillity aswell.

Remember the prophecy is an amarr ship which means Big and Heavy.
Try fitting less armourplating and fit an nanofibre instead.

Local hull conversion nanofiber hull mods. They cost plenty but give 24m/s each with -15% inertia bonus. I have two and can take it up above 550 with T2 AB as well. Get rid of those armor plates you don't need them, it's Amarr - Armored Monster And Rugged Runabout.
It will get over the 1K mark with T1 MWD for travelling. Since it has a big sig radius anyway, it's not wise to use MWD for combat unless you just don't want the ship any more.

the curse of amarr i guess, slow boats. nanofibers help, but they take up slots wich could hold more tanking or damage mods. an mwd gives a nice speedboost, but wont put your ship over 500m's, and hurts your cap, an AB is hardly worth it as two nanofibers would give you about the same amount of speed increase. good thing is that the range on lasers isnt that bad so you can reach out and shoot people just from where you are

They're just big and slow I'm afraid. Takes a bit of getting used too but think of it this way, it'll only get worse with battleships :)
