There have been a lot of misconceptions about how the bonus round works, so Erotica 1 has decided to participate in a bonus as a player and live stream it to to the world. We will treat him just like we would any other bonus round participant.

Anyone interested in seeing Erotica 1 give away all his assets, lose all his SP and sing in hopes of getting them back, the stream is available.

Erotica 1 provided an API key so it can be confirmed that all of his ISK and assets are being contracted out. Erotica will participate in all of the usual stages of the bonus round, except because the event is set to last multiple days he will be doing many of the stages more than once (like reading The Code).

Very disappointing move.
No matter what the intentions were, it should have been blaringly obvious that no one would believe this to be legit. And even if it were, it's obviously not comparable to "normal" bonus room rounds.
I take this as a hint to the amount of pressure being exerted on Ero atm, because under normal circumstances he would be clever enough to realize that himself.

They've always been allowed that luxury.

However, in light of a possible ban the intend might be to protect ISK and assets from being locked down. And by doing it in the open while providing a duplicitous excuse this lessens the risk that CCP tracks down the transfers and reverse them.

Not if they want to complete the Bonus Room and come back to claim their winnings.

I wasn't aware that rule, I've seen people leave and come back in the past. Erotica 1 is a reasonable person but there need to be limits or the bonus rounds will be drawn out indefinitely.

Ofcourse he's going to do a bonus room, lose and transfer all of his assets to another player in case his acccounts get banned. How gullible does he think we are.
