I jumped through a gate and ALL the mods on my indy are gone! :(
nothing, no hi, med or low, vanished!
I want them back, seriously, who do I ask, the petition 'other' option gives me an error?

CCP's policy is quite clear.
Pretty much under no circumstances will you get your stuff back, they don't want to set that kind of precsdent.
They hope people just bite the bullet and don't cancel.

I had that once, chances are you just need to relog and/or dock/undock and they'll magically re-appear.
I suspect that if they did vanish it would be easy for them to see your items had vanished - just like with the courier missions that go wrong.

I've lost quite a few items (trade window at downtime/CTD's, mostly) and have *always* recieved them back, sometimes quickly, sometimes, it's taken a day.
The only ones where it is hard to get stuff back is normally in battle, and, seeing as I don't lose many ships, I haven't had these sort of problems yet.
I'm not sure whether the logs will show this information, though.

Pirates now have found ways to hide inside the warpgates midwarp and strip your ship as you pass! 
Oh and about losing stuff due to downtime and CTDs during a trade I've not gotten anything back.

i was about the first one to loose stuff with a trade window open at downtime.. and i dident get **** back.. have never gotten anything back that i have lost due to a bugg... i have even stoped trying now... its just not that often anyone gets anything back

Well I am one to panic :] turns out i just had to relog and clear my cache, to add my skill points where also reset and all I had was base skills again.
Anyway the help channel was great to help out and fixed this extremely scary problem in a few seconds, cheers.

use logserver, it happens to stabilize eve quite a bit, and if something happens it records it. its real cool, before you leave station make sure you equip everything as if you just put it on so they have a list of what you have on.

To get ISK into your cargo hold so you too can lose it, just dock then open your wallet and drag the big icon of the Z with the blue coins into your hangar then set the amount in the popup dialogue, now put the credits into your hold...and go get mugged

but that would suck for BB ppl to jump and end up with no guns and nothing LOL...
I wonder what could cause something like that....

if we have to go through that much ****... then i dont want to play this game... knowing that just by traveling i could lose items for no reason... come on this is really lame

Jumping was never supposed to not take all your modules. This was fixed in the last patch.

After last weeks little patch I lost all my high slot turret items (the pulse weapons stayed for some reason and the crystals were mounted into empty slots), but it had nothing to do with a warp gate.
I simply logged on, left station and noticed that all my High slot turret weapons were gone.
Im not to fond of losing Tachyon beams so I petitioned (3rd one in 3 days due to a couple of blackholes in popular systems). We're still playing email tag on this last petition.
To complicate the petition I also had a hanger with items that wont move. Could drag stuff into it and leave it but it definatly wont come back out.
They fixed the hanger problem yesterday and freed up my items. Now Im just waiting for the lost gun problem to be fixed.

Interestingly, I had something similar happen, except my ship (Imicus, I'm new, give me a break) also lost all slots ... the fitting window came up with no slots available, no cap, no anything ...
The ship would still fly, but it had no modules and therefore couldn't fire.
Tried relogging, clearing cache, activating a different ship (which worked fine), re-activating the Imicus (still broke).
Launched in the Imicus, ejected, re-boarded, still broken.
Went to another station, still broken ... repackaged the ship and then assembled it ... recovered the low- and medium-slot items (high-slot items were just gone) and the ship returned to normal (fitting window works, etc).
Something mighty odd going on somewhere in the bowels of the code ...
EDIT: This was with build 1217!

I just lost one of my weapons, the strange thing is that the ammo is still in the slot just with no weapon in it.
This should be proof enough to replace it - if they don't they should proof me how you can get ammo into an empty slot ...

Well, I just recieved the email that states how they can do nothing about my lost guns.
I will send them the screen shot of the High slots fitted with only crystals. Not sure it will help though.
I am really starting to dread patches. Maybe its best to take the patch day off and not play for a few days.

hmm i guess i better put crap stock guns only...
if they dont do anytihng with your proof of only ammo in the high slots then i dont know what else will show it... i mean you cant put just ammo in high slots LOL this is probably a rare but BAD BUG!!

A refund would be nice. Doesnt look like there going to take that route though.
I dont know which bothers me more. The money wasted on the guns lost or the time spent to aquire and fit such items wasted.
I guess this is their way of preventing false missing item petitions.

Be glad they DO look at this.

Man I lost one of my 425mm Railguns - it's not that it hurts me but i'm about 80 jumps from my production station so i could easily build me a new one but i don't want to fly freaking 160 jumps just because EVE decides to take my gun away.
I mean how could i exploit this - it would be ridiculous. Why should i petition that, i have over 100 mil in my wallet why should i "cheat" me a 1 mil gun ? that's makes no sense, simple.
