so ive been looking at these for quite some time now, but have been to lazy/poor to really start experimenting with them. So the question remains: how effective are these little guys? Could i replace my webbers/nos's/ecm slot's with them?
how tough/effective are these things?

Nos drones work pretty well, same with all the EWar ones. Only problem is that the extra damage that will always be done whether you are jammed or not is usually more important to most pilots

I've found the hornet 300 ECM drones to be very useful

thanks fellas. Ill have to try these out. 4 attack and 1 ecm/webber drones could be nasty and save slots all at the same time. Plus with spare drones in the bay i could potentially tailor my drones to the situations that i need. Plus alot of ships dont have many mid slots so this is a bonus as well...

do skill (interfacing) or ship bonus (drone ship) affect any of these drone effectiveness?
or just the combat (and mining?) drone?
pretty sure that they aren't, but you don't tell by looking at the drones what skill are affecting them... so...

Don't use ECM drones, at the moment it might be called an exploit due to a bug, if my sources are correct.

Has anyone used sheild repair drones, do they activate only when ur sheild goes down ? can u set them when they need to activate ?, i see they have a cap so do they only run for a period then charge fully back up before running again or just run when possible ? do you have to activate them to use them or can they be kept in orbit and automatically come online? are they worth it as i'm learning all my main skills towards sheild tank and these seem very usefull to me.

You can only use the repair/recharge drones on somebody else. They're for support ships, not for supporting your ship.

I am currently investigating the use of the large webber drone on shield tanked minmatar ships, as the lack of tackling slots becomes highly irritating. It would be nice to have light and medium versions, however, since i can only fit one beserker webber in my drone bay

so if i go with drones that dont do dmg for my missile boat what should i go with Target painter drones or ecm drones?

The small nos drones don't really work that great. But on my Vamphoon, the webber drones work great. 2-3 of those at a time with a mix of other drones. Frees up a mid slot. Havn't had a chance to really use the turrent disrupters or my ecm drones yet. but as a added note on the nos drones...they look REALLY cool on a target

Could you elaborate a little bit? I've used ECM drones in the past and they didn't seem overpowered or broken.

No it doesn't if you got two ships.
5 heavy remote shield repair drones make a badger tank 0.0 spawns. Just an example, but one ship using heavy remote rep drones make another ship nearly invulnerable in any pve situation. Especially if the other has a tank of it's own in complexes and missions and so on.

Missile boat ?
Target painters, makes small ships take more damage. A mix of target painters with a web drone or two might be a good recipe for increased missile damage against undersized targets. Altho I must admit I've never tested it since i don't use missiles much atm.
