Hello, I'm in need of some advice..
Theres a macro miner active in my region for a week or two. I plan on attacking him with an alt I had lying around. He can fly a tristan atm, has a few turret skills and some missiles. wasn't planning on doing something sensible with him, so might aswell do this. So, besides training him to use a warp scrambler, could a tristan blow a covetor out of the sky before concord zapps me? If not, what would be handy to train (smartbombs? more on the weapon skills he allready has?) I'd appreciate your thoughts.. Planning on using 2 missile launchers, and two hybrid guns (small) and all the drones I can stack.
some skills here: Drones lvl 1
Gunnery lvl 4 Small Hybrid Turret lvl 3
Missile Launcher Operation lvl 2 Standard Missiles lvl 1
Gallente Frigate lvl 3

I highly doubt it; but hey, what's it going to cost you to try? Besides, it'll be fun. ________________________________________________

if its a 1.0 no chance
if its a 0.5 then strap blasters and antimatter and as many dmg mods as u can and let rip . then try blasters and armour plates and see if you get any further.
maybe its worth training for cruisers tho. in a 0.8 u can gank a frig with a rax before concord kill you. in a 0.5 u could tank concord for a while in a sheild tanked rax (i was very young back then and didnt know any better, i did last untill the BS's arrived tho). for the best damage output it has to be blasters and antimatter ammo. its not as if you have to rush to get into optimal range. ure prey isnt going anywhere.
gl in your vigilante ways. i threw a t2 fitted rax at a hi-sec terrorist once, was great fun

Will four smartbombs fit on a Kestrel? ________________________________________________

with minimum skills an incursus with 3 neutron blasters does more damage than a tristian with 2 neutrons and 2 rockets
so go for the blasters

Also, If he's floating around low sec, you can try stealing some of his ore,
Some Macros have their drones set to engage you if you steal the ore (or its automatic because its considered a hostile action, not sure)
Anyhow, if you steal the ore, the drones fire on you, you are able to blow him up without concord getting on your case

Yeah try transfering his ore into your own can whilst in your combat ship. If he steals it back then gank him, or if not blow up _your_ can with his ore in

im thinking lock the target, begin warping, fire cruise missles just before warping.
it would probably work, but you will loose the stealth bomber. Cloaking it won't help and it's considered an exploit to avoid concord anyhow :)

Form yourself a new corporation and have a couple of friend's alts join. Use one alt in a hauler to steal the ore and the other two in something like a blackbird and a caracal/kestrel. Occasionally, a miner will warp away to fetch his combat ship to blow up the 'thief'. As soon as he attacks, anyone in your new corp can attack the miner's ship. Warp in, jam the enemy, scram and web him and open fire. As long as your target is in an NPC corp, he won't get any assistance other than a shield transfer or remote armour repair. If he doesn't attack you, try moving the ore to your own can and see if he takes it back. If he does, same thing applies, all your corp can shoot him down. If you get no response at all, well at least you got some free ore to split between you and your mates, and there are no shortage of targets for you.

Something similiar happened to a few of my corp mates, and it doesn't appear to work this way.
1. Corp mate liberates Ore from a Macro Miner 2. Macro Miner leaves, comes back with Combat ship and attacks Corp mate (legal flag due to aggression timer). 3. A 2nd Corp mate who is also ganged comes to help and does not have a flag vs. the Macro miner and thus gets concorded after trying to help.

If the target isn't flashing red, leave it alone.

If you *suspect* a macro miner, petition him for abuse, THEN steal his ore. If he swears at you in local chat, he's no macro.
If you don't file the petition, it can be argued that you're taking advantage of an EULA breach. Once CCP are notified it's open season. ________________________________________________
