Was at a pirate spawn last night with 2 friends, there was 1 other person there who got caught by splash damage off a missile (Well thats what we assume happened).
The police warped straight in and destoyed my allies ship.
We were in a 0.4 sec and the person caught had a -3.0 sec rating, so why would the police attack?
Is there any guide as to what you can attack in a sector without police intervention?

First of all, verify it was a 0.4 system. It can be an old map cache memory and that the security rating of the system has changed in a patch update.
Delete cache is the brutal way, or you can delete the pref.ini something file instead.

I will double check when i get home from work, but i had cleared the cache las night anyway, as the game crashed and i could not reconnect untill the cache was cleared.
I thought that anything under 0.5 was fair game in the battle stakes.

Well, assuming you diden't splash a station or a gate, it's a bug and you can petition your loss. Will propably give you zilch but you can try.

Was definatly no gate or station, it was at a pirate spawn by a planet, and the only thing that might have been hit that was not in our gang was the other PC player who was there, but he had a Neg sec rating.

Sorry to disappoint you but -3.0 is no different from 3.0 in the eyes of the cops... you can only attack those with -5.0 or lower. Everybody else is under the protection of Concord.

As per TomB in the latest CSM .4 and below is fair game anywhere but near gates.
In fact there isn't supposed to be concord response at all in .4 and below is there?
I just killed a guy at a belt in .4 the other day (pre-patch) and I took the sec hit but no concord ever showed.

Yeah cops sometimes do seem, INSTANT. I was messing about with missiles after my missile skills trained and in a frigate, I launched a missile at someone who had stole my ore before, just for fun. The police were there in seconds, locked and jammed my targetting, but didn't attack. So I orbitted them at like 1km and then launched a missile at 1 of them being killed in less then 3 seconds..

i had cops drop me on a jump in to a system today jump what im in a pod... cops looking at my shipt laughing at me...stupid jump in campers. can we flame npcs like we would players... hmmmm

Concord kill more ships than m0o ever did and I'm sure they use exploits! Yes they must do...CCP should ban these expoliting griefers! J/K
Its true though, Concord are total overkill. PvPers are getting bored and leaving every day, I dont mean pirates or griefers I mean people trying to have fun. It really saddens me as I love this game. I'm not leaving but its getting hard to keep my friends intrested.

Yeah, and they do without reason as well - was at a gate yesterday, killed two NPC pirates, Gate aggroed at me and swoosh - Maller gone.
Jumped in my egg around the corner to get a Thorax to pick my stuff up - swoosh, Thorax gone, Gate sentry did it again.
Ok, I would understand that if it was a pirate sentry, but since when is a Gallente sentry defending Bloods?
Oh, right - shots fired on Maller only beams - so no splash damage, second time with Thorax no shots fired at all.
Sucks bigtime.

A m8 of mine was fighting npc rats around a gate and must have splashed gate or billboard with missles and her Bellicose got vaporized by sentry guns.
She waited a couple of minutes and flew back in an Imicus to get her stuff and got vaped again.
CONCORD must be stopped!! (sarcasm)

I had the same as venkman but with Sasha's - in my thor minding my on business - saw 2 minions near a gate, locked and shot at them with a Autocannon using titanium sabot rounds - they were 15 klicks from the gate and got wasted by the sentry gun!!

Have no idea on what system I was in but it was in the Placid region. Popped two NPC pirates by a gate, least I though they were pirates. Used Acolyte missles to damage thier shileds for close combat when all of a sudden, BOOM, two shots my Tristan was vaporized by the sentry guns. Thought for certon I was far enough out to avoid the gate but maybe not.
I was able though to return in a noob ship and retrieve my stuff intantly with out the sentry guns opening back up on me.

.4 sys have like no cops as far as i know.....5 does tho....but .4 and lower r coo for like pirates cept these bloody sentry guns everywhere
