I opened the forums today and I see this "@#@#$$ SORT IT OUT YOU USELESS @#*@&#@"
Why does CCP / Forum Mods allow this language. Anyone has access to these forums and can read them.
Maybe they could add word filters?!

18.Avoid using profanity.
Using partial masking (such as asterisks or punctuation marks) to bypass the profanity filter is prohibited and will result in the same action as if the actual word had been typed.
i guess it doesnt work. :( and im also guessing these kids... dont have kids.

Yes. I much prefer cursing in the privacy of my own home like the rest of the world. I, like most civilzed people, keep cursing, drug use, alcohol abuse, kinky sex, and minor criminal activities relegated to my home. That way no one thinks I do bad things.
It would be a much better world if everyone would keep their deviance a private matter alltogther.

I see worse language ingame in local channel all the time.
Isn't that more inappropriate yet CCP does nothing about it.
That thread will be removed I am sure, yet local channel can offer valuable information at times, so it's not feasable to simply tune out.

Yah, doesn't the reality of dealing with diverse peoples suck. Maybe I will just stay at home and pretend the world is a nice place.

Um no i dont... i commend CCP on allowing it. I hate when everyone has to be a tightass all the time. Its about the only thing i do like about CCP's views on the matter.. makes it feel like a soccer tourney or something where you cut up with friends etc.
I do find you annoying however.

Ok,
I started 'said post' and I think it made it's point - there are a lot of angry people who really really want to play Eve, they love it as I do. I stand by what I posted, but we are all supposed to be adults and adults use that kinda language when <insert word here> off.
Unfortunately we don't all like listening to it. That I can't do anything about.
The sooner CCP sort out the problems that are clearly annoying their *PAYING* customers, the bettr off we will all be, and discussing 'loadouts' and 'traderoutes' like we really should be.
Apologies for slapping you in the face with a bit of foul language Dandria, but I vent like that.

I do not mind in-game. because we are all paying customers at that point. And we have agreed that the game is a certain rating.
But on the open forum that anyone can browse I do not agree with it. I has no place.
you might aswell post nudy pics. and let underage people see them.
When you go to a "named companies" site you then associate that behavior with the owner. I don't think that is a image ccp would want.

And if it's a kid thing.. The internet is no place for kids.. Hell you even type something as childish as "Teddy Bear" on a search engine. Your going to get a bunch of links to hairy *** men sites.

kids -
remember school? that was the place you went to learn all those words that horrified your parents from the otha kids... are you going to go to school everyday with your children to protect their tender ears there too? why donÆt you try honesty and openness with your children instead, instead of trying to hide them away from the rougher edges of the world? they are going to hear profanity. period. accept that, and when the time comes that you hear them employing such words (usually without any clue about meaning) judge their level of understanding and share your perspective on why you find language like that offensive and wrong. you cannot do much to change human behavior in the world your children will grow up in, but you can help them to develop what you consider to be the right values and knowledge about other human behavior. or you can try to shut them up in a box and instead they will learn all kinds of skewed and warped things from the other kids at school whoÆs parents also arenÆt straight with them. my opinion of course.

that being said, i would also say that excessive / unnecessary profanity on the boards is a really good indicator of how ignorant / immature a poster is. but how does that affect me other than giving me a better understanding of that person? don't try and make the boards a puritan church social please, censorship is insulting. let the morons show their colors to the ridicule of the more intelligent and mature posters who will slam them for it... when you ban them, they have shown that it only encourages them to come back with an alt char and rant twice as hard. finally, swearing has been with us for ages, and why is it not acceptable to use sparingly as a seasoning to import a weight to ones words from time to time? I think most of the subscribers are intelligent enough to tell the difference.

Unfortunatly everyone has the choice to raise there kids how they want. And that is completely there choice.
Maybe they have to choose not to play this game if it is not something they believe in.
But it is to bad they have to make that choice when CCP has already said it has no place here.
