some people will go out and spend ú1000 or $1000 on a pair of jeans, why? cause they love fashion, have lots of money and it makes them feel good strolling about in a 1k pair of jeans probebly not many people own, if you enjoy eve that much which we all seem to do and they wish to invest there hard earned cash into this game then what's the problem.
These people are out working in there jobs and then spending that cash on unreal money, in my opinion they love they game more than anyone to spend real cash.

The extent of the problem (if there is one) is not determined by how much real life money someone has to convert to isk, it is the other way around.
You can only sell as many time-codes as people are willing to buy. This places limits on how much influence RL cash can have on the game, and also the exchange rate (more sellers, cheaper codes).
It isn't like the cash is being magically converted in to ISK, with potentially unlimited volumes. That really would be a problem.
This isn't buying ISK. This is a service is being traded for ISK. Don't think there is a difference?
Which has more demand, $ or eve game time? I can only use so much Eve gametime, but I'm pretty sure I could always find a use for more $.

The utter stupidity of some people on here regardign economics makes me wonder if you have the ability to balance a checkbook.
I can't belive I even read more than a few pages of this ****. If someone wants to spend $2000 on video game, they won;t be here for long. If there is no time or effort to get something, there is no inherent value to it, thus it becomes meaningless. It is like playing a game n god-mode. While it might be fun innitially, the fun fades very fast.
I wish you arm chair economic profits would get a grasp of that...
If it benefits CCP (which it does), I am all for it. It does benefit CCP because more accounts are out thee, which = more revenue for them. I for one would hve atleast 2 less accounts if I had to pay for them with RL cash. Not because I cannot afford it, but because they arent neccessary for my eve enjoyment. But, if I can get a GTC for some of the billions of isk I have and can make or buy some alts, ccp gets more revenue.

yeh they wont be here for long and CCP gets $2000, which has no real impact on the game because the player will leave when they get bored. win win situation as far as i can see and they still have to wait for skills to use these uber items they are buying, or maybe folks are just jealous they cant afford to spend real life cash on a game.
