Hi Guys,
i need someone who tells me where my basic problem in understanding the game is.
Following happend two months ago:
I did the "Human Cattle 5 of 5" without any significant problems in my Vexor.
This happend today:
Now with better fitting ( NOS + webber ), 1 more drone nad more skills ( drones, gunnery etc.) I tried it again and had a few problems. Which all boiled down to fighting that one bloody frig for like 10 minutes until i was so desperate i switched of my webber and suddendly my drones finished the guy rather quick.
So i entered the last stage and webbed that ammar frig. It webbed me and went 160m/s while beeing webbed. To fast for my guns (Dual 150's prototype gauss). Got him to half amour but he repaired faster then my drones could damage him. .. until i turned of my webber.
So can anyone please explain this to me.
Where is the difference for the drones if that frig goes 160 or 500m/s.
Thanks in advance for whoever can enlighten me.

I would guess the transversal speed is too high for the drones to track when they're orbiting. When they're chasing, the trans will be lower.

transversal when orbiting something should be very near zero
go out and run circles around someone, you'll see that they will stay on one side of YOU which means you would always be aiming at the same spot to the side
now if you were the person being orbited, you'd have to continuously rotate your guns to track the person orbiting you

The key word there is 'should'. The gods of CCP decided otherwise; probably for highly balanced reasons I can't be bothered to figure out.
