I'm out. Been playing now for a couple of months, and it's just not fun.
Mining? Popping frigs/cruisers? Going to 0.0? Just not enjoyable.
Veteran of Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Asheron's Call, Star Wars Galaxies, and now EVE. I will even admit to trying WoW for 15 days or so, it sucked.
- travel times, while I respect EVE's scale, are not conducive to my play schedule
- grinding agent missions and mining for the first few months?
- glowing orbs for scenery? you cannot tell me that EVE Gate made you ooh and awe
- no personalization aside from the, sometimes creepy looking, portraits
- not able to color your ship, even give it some damned stripes or initials
- rabble rabble rabble
- and older players, with their millions of skillpoints and bpo's, telling the nublet creabears like me to hit the bricks, 'cause EVE is teh uberest game around and is too cool/complex for a guy like me
