Edited by: Rina Shanu on 05/05/2006 14:43:30 Hi. I know there used to be a thread (more?) about a few duramaller setups - but in the sticky up there we have only 1 maller setup thread link and it's not a duramaller orig thread.
So without muc experience here I go with a setup in the hopes that a more advised pilot will correct, improve, criticise, etc. and so we can make a nice DuraMaller setup thread for the sticky.
high slots ---------- 4*med pulse laser (T2 if you can) ; 2*medium nosferatu
med slots --------- 10mn AB ; 20km disruptor (because it is a slow ship) ; webber/tracking disruptor/ecm
low slots --------- med armor repairer (T2) ; 3*heat sink (T2) ; damage control ; 1600mm plate
If the above do not fit although I think they should with average skills: a) maybe put in another medium pulse laser and drop a medium nosferatu. b) drop the 1600mm plate and put in a 800mm plate (your speed should also increase)
This is a noobie provided setup so older/more experienced pilots, please take a moment and post your opinions.
Regards. *** TRats - We ransom!!! *** |

I was under the impression that the duramaller was a tanking setup, in which case you might want to fit a tank. Hardners are the way forward, passive if you have those compensation skills up.
I've seen people fly setups with 2 1600mms, 3 hardners and a rep on, with frig guns, it may not do much damage but dear god can it tank.

Edited by: Rina Shanu on 05/05/2006 14:53:21 The first setup is a combination between a tank and a gank, and as such is not too good at either.
This second setup I thought of is a tanker:
High slots ---------- 4*medium pulse laser ; 2*medium nosferatu
medium slots ------------ 10mn ab ; 20km scrambler ; webber
low slots --------- medium armor repairer ; damage control ; reactive nano plating (the one that gives res to all types of damage) ; active thermal ; active explosive ; 1600mm plate
With skills everything should fit and if possible maybe use T2 variants. This second setup has a lot better resistances with the same huge amount of armor but lacks in damage. Still, if you can use thos 2 medium nos and suck the cap of the enemy while you are able to keep repairing, cumulated with lower damage due to good resistances, you should outlast the enemy pilot and win.
edit: yes I realised that and was posting this when you replyed. *** TRats - We ransom!!! *** |

My average setup on a duramaller is as follows: HI: 5x medium pulse laser II's(w/ Conflags) 1x medium nos Meds: the usual pvp setup web scram and 10mn AB II Lows: Medium Armor Rep II 1x active kin 1x active thermic 1x active explosive and 1x NON-energized adaptive nano as it only takes up one PG and I'm always short cpu... :P It worked well for me in the past enjoy :)
