Dunno where this belongs but this is a really nice CG of an ammar fleet attacking the Minmatar (I think)

Title: The Iron Tide
Name: Alex Murtaza
Country: Canada
Software: 3ds max, Brazil r/s, Photoshop
Based on the world of EVE (www.eve-online.com). This piece is centered around the invasion of a system by a hostile Minmatar fleet. The defenders are the Amarr and Caldari, 2 other races in the EVE universe.
95% of the work was done in photoshop with some preliminary rendering done in 3dsmax (planets & moons). Most everything was hand painted with the exception of some nebulai/cloud imagery gathered from various NASA sites. The working size for this image is 5400*2636, it was made to print.

Also one detail I picked up in the bottom corner of the pic. The ammar seem to be firing at the minmatar with ground based defense lasers.
CCP we need planetary flight and the ability to fortify a planet with gigantic anti-orbital weaponry.

The great thing about eve is that it actually can be expanded with things like this, and more. Eve could still be around in 20 years.

Meridius did it. Huge props.
I have used it as my wallpaper for quite some time and think its ace.
The original pic is some crazy resolution like 5000x3900 or something insane.

Yeah, that pic has a height/width ratio of 2.0 instead of 1.33.

That's seriously amazing work and I'd definately buy a print of it for my wall.
Speaking of EVE art, is there any more artwork like that? You'd think the subject matter of EVE would result in some really awesome pictures.
