If you wanted more targets, you should have took your 4 alliances (Axiom, ASCN, TS, POS) and plonked them in TPAR-G and seiged BoB while they were busy with V2-V, enabling you to get a good place to base from, while they make thier way back.
My thoughs exactly , but again maybe ASCN got a better deal with BOB this time
I might be wrong here, but it seems it is not about targets alone, it is also about space.
edit: to the e.r.a. guy what shud bob have to do with this? what wud they gain from a "deal" ?

Well first, if we had to avoid all opponents that inflict us severe losses on fleet battles we wud be in empire already - maybe you should get an idea of how many bs we lost to good old G (altho not all in one figth) before commenting about our willingness to run from difficult fights. Big losses are simply the way it goes when the memberbase is made up of more young characters and less veterans than the other side.
And about space you are, simply, wrong. Ask paintball or any of the other usual raiders about the density (?) of our region

Morale crushing? honestly not.
In fact, the kill loss ration on that fight was better than what we had in ec- against G/Iron the week before and generally in line with our usual (poor) kill loss ratio when fighting "professional pvp" alliances. The number of ships lost itself doesnt mean much as it depends on the size of the fight.
Tbh, I think most had a lot of fun during that engagement including those that had to replace their ships the following day.
All in all, I dont think single battles can ever be morale crushing for alliances, the things that really kill a member's morale have more to do with weak behaviours from leadership, FC b*tching between each others, and inter-corp rivarly over stupid stuff like belt spawns... basically anything that makes them feel they are surrounded by m*rons - a battleship is just isk and can be replaced in a couple hours.
EDIT: I wud like to add in darko's defense that since IRON moved to stain they have been giving figths on a daily basis, their behaviour so far has nothing to share with SE/VC tactics.
