I'm getting annoyed by flying around looking for a fight (pirates are the only ones who actually want to fight these days) and I keep running into 50 Anti-Pirate pansy corps who never want to fight...even just for the heck of it!
Where's a guy gotta go for a duel these days? Amarr space is completely devoid of player pirates with all the coalition stuff going on down there. I'm kind of tired of fighting people inside my own corp...would rather fight outsiders =P

I'm sure your alliance has their enemies, why would random people want to fight you?
Remind me about The Maze.

Most of the players who frequent pf-346 (JVol especially) are always up for a good 1v1, if asked politely
Of course there are exceptions to this rule, but the majority of regulars there are more than open for fair 1 on 1's.
Of course people whine, its cause your sig sucks

Ahh...PF-346. I was there yesterday. Lost my arbitrator. But it was worth it. One big messy battle at that jumpgate =P ---

Maybe cuz they play their own play style and are completely annoyed with egotistical chestpopping brute muppets with nothing better to do.

My point wasn't trying to be egotistical. I'm saying low-security isn't dangerous anymore, and there is nothing left to do there except mine because of the "50 pansy anti-pirate corps" that have secured it so well. It's as if I have to pack up and leave if I want to do security work elsewhere.
We might as well raise the security status in half the low security area's in Amarr space...they're completely safe =P ---

Low sec is a lot safer these days (not counting major chokes like Aunenen or Amamake) for a couple of reasons. When I first started in Eve every man and his dog wanted to pirate. When people whined the pirates said "team up and work together", so they did. Next thing you have a few anti-pirate patrols running around and there was a bit of balance for a while (and none of the pirates wanted to 1v1). Then I noticed everytime the patrol I was with got a contact by the time we got there every anti-pirate within 12 jumps had closed on that system to the point we were falling over each other and the pirate would log out in the face of vastly overwhealming odds. I gave up the whole pirate hunting thing at that point.
So there we have it, the first reason is that the pirates became a problem and told everyone to do something about it or put up with it. The anti-pirate fleets are people doing something about it, en masse.
The second reason is jet can flagging. People just looking for casual 1v1 can now be found hanging out in hi-sec hubs near their ships and a ready supply of replacement equipment. They tee up a fight in local, drop a can, the other guy loots it and the fight is on. I think this second reason is the big one myself. As soon as jet can duals started in the hubs I noticed a marked fall off in low sec numbers of people looking for a fight.

Are you nuts? Every time I'm in <.5 someone targets me and tries to kill me. Succeed too because I'm a miner and can't stand PVP. Damn autopilot sent me into a .4 last night and got my thorax blown to bits. Last week I was trying to mine in 0.0 and only lasted an hour before 5 ships popped in and blew my Dominix and hauler to bits. Morons told me AFTER they blew up my ship, give them 30m or they pod me then blew me up 5 seconds later.
I would have given them 30m NOT to blow up my ships but since my clone is less then a mil, why would I give them 30m to leave IT intact? Idiots.
