Im trying to get IN a corp. I cant get IN the corp I want to be in until I get OUT of the one im stuck in for a day.
Originally by: CPP "You have tried to leave your corp. But we at CPP are *******s and have created a rule that says you can't leave a corp if you've had any role activity within the last 24 hours. Isn't it funny? I bet you thought you were going to leave your corporation when you clicked on the QUIT CORPORATION dialog. Silly noob, thats not what that means. Thats just the button that ASKS if you can leave. We alone say if you can leave or not noob. And we say no... no reason. We just want you to wait 24 hours. Tough luck byebye. /finger"

If you're leaving, good riddance. EVE could do with a little less garbage on the market, so to speak. |

What's wrong with the 24 hour rule? Any reason citing "I'm an impatient (explicitive)" will be disregarded.
And really, what's 24 hours anyway? Most people sleep 8-10 hours, work/go to school another 6-10, then the rest is free time.

No-no. We have been trying to explain to you that you are getting angry over something simple and stupid. You have been ignoring us and repeating the same thing over and over, only angrier each time. You're just a very angry impatient person and EVE is not a game for such people. Deal with it or *Ahem* "GTFO AND PLAY WOW".

Personally i think its stupid you have to wait 24 hours. Why not 4 hours till you can leave your current corp and a further 4 hours before you can accept an application.
It should only be 24 hour wait if your corp is involved in a War. -----------------------------------------------

I'm sorry...but guilty of filling up bandwidth as this post is, it's funny. Nobody can be this stupid - surely ? This has to be a wind-up (known as a 'Wah' over here...)
If it's not, and you're for real....then I think you really shouldn't be in Eve...you're in the wrong place. Read some of the answers you have been given, carefully. [/orange] *snip* Please keep your comments constructive and polite - Ivan K [/orange]

If you want director / rank priveleges in a corporation you have to take the responsibility that goes with that.
One of those responsibilities is not dumping your corpmates without sufficient notice.
If you are not happy with this responsibility you are free to ask for a zero access, zero privilege, zero responsibility status within the corporation you choose. Otherwise, live with it. There is nothing 'broken' with this system. On the contrary it is a good thing.

Edited by: Neon Genesis on 08/05/2006 08:34:32 Patience is a virtue.
Numerous reasons have been stated for this, and it's only 24 hours, so chill out?
You make it sound like CCP have commited murder. If you'll quit over 24 hours of waiting why not just spare us your inane whines and go away now?
There, i just contributed nothing to your thread |

Edited by: Wokrred on 08/05/2006 13:30:43 Edited by: Wokrred on 08/05/2006 13:28:21 Chapter 12 of the player guide posted on this website for all to see. ---- Resigning from a corporation
A player is always in a corporation. Characters entering the game world for the first time start in a none-player run corporation, or "NPC corporation." It is not possible to resign from this "new player corporation;" except by joining another corporation.
A member of a player corporation should be able to leave it provided he is not the CEO, and if the member has not had any roles assigned to them within the past 24 hours. If the CEO of a corporation wants to quit, then he should resign his CEO position. When a CEO resigns, one of two things may happen: either another member becomes the CEO or, if there are no other members, the corporation will cease to exist. Unless he is joining another corporation, the resigning CEO rejoins his "new player corporation" by default.
It is possible for a member of a player corporation that has suitable roles to remove another member as long as the member in question has less than the average number of shares per shareholder. If the member cannot be ejected due to the number of shares he holds, then the CEO must create a vote for throwing out the member in question. A vote like this would take 24 to 48 hours on average to complete. ----
If I recall right it takes 24 hours to delete a alt to avoid abuse also.

Plain and simple.
This rule is in place to prevent exploitation. It is a good rule and should never change ever

Want some cheese with that whine?
IF you are so worried about taking 24 hours to join a corp - get them to create a public channel you can interact in until your 24 hour stasis period is over.
My corp loves it and all our recruits get to know our existing corp members before they sign up ;).
But as many people here have said - Eve is prolly not for you if you want insta-this insta-that (unless you want insta-jumps ;)).
BTW - WTS T2 clue below market average!!!

Now I'm used to waiting in this game, but there is absofreakingly NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. I am so ****ed off right now I might just cancel my goddamn subscription. What do you have to say for yourselves CPP? I can't imagine how you could justify something like this in your own minds, but go ahead and tell me why anyways. Maybe the comedy will cool my anger.

You can't be serious . Right? Right...?
I understand that theres reasons for the 24 hour hold (for example , someone with corp hanger access moves items over to personal hanger and then quits corp before anyone else finds out), but I also wanted to cancel my account after running into this for the first time. 24 hours is a bit much. I mean common, theres SO MANY delays in this game, it gets to be a wee bit frusturating.

Eve is about commitment. If you commit yourself to a corp for 6 months, then what is a day? If you commit for a week, a day will seem like a lot.
