I mean, this is getting ridiculous...
Apparently, the whole Caldari empire hates me now. For what? For transporting tourists, buying oxygen, and mining veldspar?
I mean, what's going on here? I'm doing level 1 missions deep in Gallente space for Roden Shipyards. Granted, the Caldari don't like the Gallente, but why are they getting 'angry' and lowering my standing when it's like I'm running errands for my grandma?
I can understand my standing dropping, say if I committed sabatoge, or even gave Roden an overwhelming advantage somehow at the expense of other empires. But losing standing for buying data sheets that pirates don't even drop? That's just mean-spirited.
I'm Minmatar, yet I've helped the Caldari empire by buying Caldari ships in Caldari space. I've spent lots of money in the Caldari empire. Do they recognize this? No.
I can mine out all the asteroids in New Caldari, and my standing isn't affected at all. I mine out 166 veldspar in Alentene, and all of a sudden, I'm Caldari public enemy number 1 (million).
All I can say is that the Caldari need to take a chill pill :)

I know what you mean. I have been doing missions for the republic security services which is lowering my amarr standings bit by bit, and i am worried that if it gets much lower the amarr sentry guns that were recently placed at tons of gates from the patch will start firing on me

Rivalries are VERY intense in the EVE universe.
The more jobs you do for the Gallente-based Corporations, the more you are essentially their "employee" - and hence an enemy of the Caldari.

Well, I have enough data sheets for everyone, Caldari or Gallente.
Don't hate me because I transport 10 Silicon 2 jumps...
Hate me because I fly a custom painted all white blackbird :) |

I am doing missions too, and so far i did about: -50 missions for level 1 agnet -75 missions for level 2 agent -13 missions for elvel 3 agent,
all of whom are Gallente agnets.
Here is my observation: -Caldari went down from 9.99 to 9.98, which is not that bad.
-Amarr went down form 5.99 to 5.45, WTF is their beef with with mining scrodite and killing pirates (which they did not mind when i was doing for them).
-Gallente faction just started raising at level 3 agent (not sure if its due to killing pirates in belts trying to get minerals for missions)
-there is few other faction movements and most visible one is minmatar which went from 0.53 to about 1.28.
Missions are done in Gallente/Caldari border area of Placid region and for Gallente corporation (first 2 agents for Combined Harvesting and level 3 agent from Material Acquisition or something like that).
Anyway with this kind of faction gain/loss I can live as i can always move to area that needs faction boost and kill bunch of NPC pirates there.

This has bugged me too. The empires are supposedly "at peace" and working together (for now). How can any of these empires justify lowering someones security status just because they do odd jobs in their own empire.
It would sort of be like Canada saying I'm a criminal just because I, as a U.S. citizen, choose to work for a U.S. company. ---------------------------------------------- "Let me guess, my theories appall you, my heresies outrage you, I never answer letters and you don't like my tie."

Also notice that these faction changes aren't really even significant. I'd bet during empire war time it would be much more harsh.

the caldari and the Gallante have a long history of working togather. they designed new jumpgates, and other such projects, only one snafu <and a major one> was the gal/caldari war, which was started primarily by Caldari terrorists :P
