Was wondering if you guys knew of any. my highest wish is that it's not an MMOFPS, and not twitch-based. Other than that, I'm open to pretty much anything. but I need it to have a decent story, and meaningful quests (not just "kill that"). Doesn't matter if it isn't out yet, I don't mind waiting a bit. Just need to know what to wait for Matrix Online is not happening, as it's owned by SOE. It's not twitchy, nor is it a first-person shooter (but you can put the camera to first person, default is 3rd person). It kinda resembles those fantasy mmo's, but without the trolls, dwarves, elves, faeries, and whatever cliche things, and with more complex sci-fi thingies (nano formulae ftw) (And I play on server 2, Rimor, btw) Oh well, it's your choice anyway Hope this helped a bit in your search. ______________________________ Time flows where it wants to flow

Although they did change newbie island and many other things to make it easier for new people... ^^ I dont know when you played so I cant compare now and then Oh well, maybe you could try again? Or find another sci-fi game, I've heard of the Star Wars one, I never played it though. This is how I got involved in EVE (that and a PC mag article on GHSC) I watched a few videos of people PvP'ing and thought it looked awesome.

Played on the first server (cant remember what it was called) with a crew called "the velvet glove" Got the "1 year free!" mail a while back, and i almost had a seizure. the memories of camping for spawns, some more camping, the cough pvp cough , some more camping.. and that was just for the damn trash-king (or what his name was).. There was actually an unwritten "camping-code" that ya had to follow and i did, think i camped most of the time i played that game. Grind 'til yer eyes bleed pretty much summed it up. no offense, but i just had to get that off my chest, since my shrink got a restraining order after i asked him the millionth time if he could buff my ncu..

Oh, what I would do for a good cyberpunk MMO. Neocron just isn't very interesting. I always thought Tron would have made a neat setting for an MMO, though.

It seems like it's planet based, with your usual assortment of robots, close knife fighters, gunslingers and what not.

RF Online is already released. Whatever you do though, DON'T waste your money on SWG. Boring PVE means go to a field, find a patch not occupied by other players and swing at any npc which come near to make them attack you. Missions basically consist of 'Go there, kill 20 marsupals and come back'. Honestly if I ever have to play another mmorpg where I'm a bad-ass with a sword or rifle and yet still have trouble swatting a flipping butterfly for more than 10 damage.... Didn't get far enough to try the PvP but that didn't sound any better going by the chat channel.

But SOE ruined a game that had so much potential, and to me it just isn't worth $15 to feel like I'm in a somewhat Star-Wars'y universe given their utter disdain of continuity.
