A friend and I were talking today and about neural remaps. I'm old and I've never used the ones we have gotten over the years. I'm so old infact I do believe I would take an attribute hit if I did choose to use one. So having used none I have 4 available. My friend has never used a remap as well. His character is just about as old as mine but he only has 3 remaps available. I believe I acquired the additional remap several years back as a Christmas gift CCP was giving out. I think he missed that one.
Anyone else never use a remap? How many do you have left? Remember where/when you got them? |

- for a general toon a percept /int remap is usually optimal
- the SP mini-game is silly, people get to obsessed with SP

I think I've used one out of the sum total of originally allocated and then accumulated as extras were tossed into the game over the years.
Wish I could auction them off on a Contract, I don't need them.

Used mine very quickly after I joined, having no real idea what I was doing or why.
Now I have a few months to wait to fix the mistake I made in my last remap. Ah well, live with the consequences of being an idiot.

I used one over a year ago. Still haven't finished training all the percep/willpower skills I want. But that's mostly because other "important" skills crop up and need training before I can carry on. I think I might remap to just all even and leave it like that. I'm terrible at planning the months ahead the remap requires. I see shiny ship or mod, and I hunger for it. Remap be dammed.

All even is not a good plan. Not much uses Charisma for example.
Remapping per se is useful. Its just once you remap its rare to need to change it if ever ... unless you are micro-managing your skills in some sort of deluded SP mini-game. |

I have a suspicion that, EVE applied my bonus remaps when I went to do a standard remap (governed by the time limit). I intended to save the bonus ones. Anyone know if I'm correct?

I'm sure they'll be added to the NEX store for a PLEX at some point.
I generally have 1 left on all my characters. And I think they are all ready for a free yearly swap also. I keep meaning to switch back to int/mem to max out some things but I always end up putting it off and training for more ships and weapons.
CCP should just follow tiericide to its logical conclusion and remove skills and attributes. Fly whatever, whenever. Just need the ISK to buy it. Though... then subs would tank pretty hard. |

It's not that big of a deal, really . . . .
it is not meant to do that, it should use the standard remap first.
It is probably petition-able if you lost a bonus when a standard was available. |
